What grinds my gears? Boiled potatoes. There is just no need for them :lol:

Sometimes yes but it depends what mode you play, I played Capture the Flag and didn't have a problem.

What grinds my gears is how we get less days off in school for snow days and we end up not getting any snow days. It was supposed to snow 4-5 times this month and it hasn't once. *Dramaticly* Will tonight be the night?!
 
What Grinds My Gears This Evening? My dad seems to be acting really weirdly lately, it seems like somthing is wrong and he won't tell me. I just don't know what to do..
 
In response to the replies to my post, when do you all go back. I have from Wednesday to the 3rd Jan, and my brother in a different school get's 3 weeks, me two..

I'm off now and I go back the Tuesday after new years whenever that is.
 
So I bag groceries at the local Giant. Earlier today this person I work with realized that someone in her line had left a bag of groceries, her imediate thought was to get my attention so I could run out and give the person their groceries. Here's how that went:


Cashier: "Hey, can you run this bag out to the person that was just here?"
Me: *takes bag*"Yeah, what did he look like."
Cashier: "Just run them out really quick and see if he's there."
Me: "I need to know what he looks like."
Cashier: "Just go ask some people if these are theirs."
Me: "*sigh* Fine."

A minute later I walked back in still carrying the bag.

Me: "I couldn't find him."
Cashier: "Are you sure you didn't see a guy with grey hair wearing a big black jacket?"
Me: *sighs* "Yes....yes I did see him" *put's groceries down and walks away*

So apparently "He had grey hair and a big black jacket" was a detail that could wait until after he was long gone. I saw the guy too, but he was on the other side of the parking lot so I didn't bother running all the way over there to ask. Had she taken a second to tell me what he looked like the guy wouldn't have gone home without his baking powder and sugar. And I know people make mistakes, but things like this aren't exactly uncommon from this person.





And I had to take items back to their shelves for part of my shift today, and that sure is fun when the :censored:ing meatballs are in the seafood section, the pizza is in the dessert section, and the Hot-Pockets are where the chicken should be - I don't even want to know where the chicken was:banghead:. I could go on, but I think you get the point.

Granted, I did feel better about that when I overheard the manager yelling at someone on the phone about the stock guys not putting things where they belong, but still.



I hate stupid people.
 
That damned annoying song (the one with the kids singing) when you are in an online lobby or in pre-race. Who the 🤬 decided to include this excuse for music into GT5?
 
Take a look into the credits and you'll see. I'm not too happy with that one either. Why can't it be adjusted like the music every else in the game? It grinds my gears too.

This is the Summer break, Summer is around Christmas, then there is 3 two week holidays scattered throughout the year.
 
Oh yeah, I forgot things are opposite down there. :ouch:

Interesting though, I learn something new every day. 👍

I het a half day Friday and get off until January 2nd. Which is only a week and a half...

I think it's generally the rush for Christmas, it causes a lot of stress on parents to find gifts, run a family, and get food for the entire Christmas holiday. My family just blames me for everything. I'm being accused of eating too much food. That may or may not be true, tell me. Is wheet bix for breakfast, about 3 biscuits, one or two sandwhiches, an apple, a bar, and dinner too much for one day? I'm accused of eating the Salami, I personally don't like Salami, and right now I can hear them calling me greedy again. :mad: I have an urge to go out there and yell at them all and then pull out an object that can be used as a weapon! (I have pulled out a knife on my brother before, I used to have anger problems)

In general that much food is pushing it, but if you're growing like me that's nothing. I eat as much as I can possibly eat in a day, and I always need to sneak snacks and things because my mom will yell at me, saying I won't be hungry for dinner, at which point I eat more than her. I have been developing more and more anger issues, with all the immature kids at school. I don't act like some mature person, I can be immature, but some kids are so 🤬 disrespectful and selfish I can't stand it.
I don't pronounce it like that, I say it as mum

Also, Camaroyenko, I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you can deal with it as best you can, I don't know what I would do.

I'm so with you on that, I'm not the most mature person but I consider myself more mature than most of my grade and
Probably the two upper grade levels. Some kid asked a girl if he could cut of her ear and stock it to her nipple. Why the 🤬 would you even say that?
 
Okay, so this happened today...

I was going to the strip mall to get some schtuff for my parents and the parking lots were pretty crowded. I usually drive an older BMW sedan, but I took my mom's Explorer this time so parking in small spaces was pretty fun. I didn't swing out far enough to make it, so I put it in reverse to try again. I look in the mirror and see a mother and teen daughter walking... right towards me. I'm in a big freakin SUV with my reverse lights on and everything and they were walking in the middle of the road and right behind me, so I sit there and wait. I wait till I can see them right next to me and then I back up some more.

I was pretty heated that I was forced to take the time to keep them safe and they were totally oblivious to it. So when I hit the gas a bit to back up they freak out and start yelling at me like I was about to hit them. I may have backed up a little too fast but they were a good couple feet away and there was no way I was going to hit them even as I was swinging the front end out of the spot. I'm in here going "WTF" and I re-park it. When I get out I'm getting an ear full from the mother going "YOU ALMOST HIT US YOU STUPID PUNK WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING BLAH BLAH BLAH LERN TOO DRIEV U LOUSY KID DERPA DERP!!!1!!!".

And before I get the chance to say something like "If you don't wanna die don't walk behind a 4,500lb. SUV that's backing up, you stupid 🤬 " they get in the car and drive off, thinking some stupid punk just tried to kill them.

And I'm like

Totally ruined my day... makes me wish I wasn't so nice sometimes and didn't stop in the first place.

You know what grinds my gears?
Gran Turismo 5. It's been absolutely awful today, constantly loading endlessly when I attempt to join a room, to the point that I have to reboot the game. This happened many times. Then, when I leave a room, it just sits there, lollygagging about for about 5 minutes, until it decides to actually leave the room. And one time today, I was in a room, and the course got changed, but apparently GT5 didn't feel like making the jump, so it just showed me a picture of Toscana. I was the only one who had the problem, because after a few minutes, I heard people's cars driving on it. So I had to reboot the game yet again. In addition to that, I got disconnected many times last night, always a pain in the ass. And finally, I was attempting to join a room, and the game decided to reject me due to "heavy network traffic" and ordered me to wait a while. So I did, and I got the same excuse. So I threw my controller on the ground, got up, and turned the PS3 off. And this is how it's been for the past week, but it's been especially crappy today. :grumpy:

I like it but it gets very repetitive. I loved the 'feel' of GT5 Prologue but no-one seems to agree with me.
I also miss the effortless drifting physics. :lol:

What's grinding my gears right now is my lack of focus. I'm reading a very 'dense' book right now and I find it really hard to concentrate and keep up. Often I find that the slower you read the less you take in, it's quite strange, and it doesn't help me one bit. :(
 
I hate how greasy the microwavable popcorn is, its impossible to get off your hands and lips and I can't stand having greasy hands.

Just blew the fuse on a US to AUS/NZ power transformer, I swear I got the plugs the right way 'round as well :grumpy:

Aaaaannnd my Wii which was connected to the transformer is now broked. I just hope it's the power adaptor so I can buy a replacement and not the console itself :nervous:

It can get a bit annoying for me. I wished PD used the Preparation song back in GT4.
