Christmas? It's not Christmas until my presents are under the tree. Which usually is quite late in December. But why are we discussing this? Christmas is the 25th of December, all educated people know that.

VANDENAL
There's a radio-station in Detroit that plays Christmas songs non-stop from November 1st to the end of December 31st. I considered calling the FCC to shut it down.

I know what you're talking about. Isn't it 104.5?

Last year there was a pee puddle right in front of the pot so if you sat down you'd probably get your pants wet! :scared:  :yuck:

My Gear Grinder for the day:
As most of you are probably aware I recently sacrificed my Alfa 156.
It was replaced with a Rover 416 SLI, well today that got written of in a rear ender :grumpy: My wife was driving and stopped at a roundabout and some clown smashed into the back of her.
Thankfully her and baby are ok, however I just know the insurance company will pay out peanuts for it, that combined with having no money will probably mean being carless for a while.

Argh i'm pissed

Getting your first car, then finding out it needs a new clutch, 2 new brakes, and it needs a new tachometer!

It's especially annoying when it's a manual. :ouch:

Luckily we found a way to hook up a makeshift RPM meter to the side from my Dad's old car.
I hope that's even legal! I've only driven it once, and it's my learners car. It's the best we can do until we get it fixed...

What is it?

You should only feel stupid if you continue to call it an RPM meter. But, yeah, you probably should have known it was a tach. :dopey:

The first time I got into the car, he asked me "Do you know what this is?" and all that to almost every object in the car. When he pointed at the tachometer, I said "RPM meter" and he said "okay".

:indiff:

Sounds like he wasn't trying to be technical, he just wanted to know if you knew that was the meter that counted the RPMs. But I bet if you asked women and teenagers 80% of them wouldn't know what that was.

Hey, what's that supposed to mean? I am a women. (teenage girl) :p

I'm sure saying that you're a female on these forums lowers your "respect".

What I'm saying is that you're good that you know what it is. Most people born recently that don't drive and don't know about cars probably won't know what a tach is. I wasn't trying to start a fight or anything.

Not trying to be sexist but let's be honest, cars are a thing that MOSTLY men are in to, it's more rare for a girl to be in to cars that much.

I think it's cool when a girl is into cars.

I'm really into cars 👍

I can name a lot of engine parts, and (almost) every interior part of a car.
Also, I can pretty much name a car on the spot as long as I see the emblem too.

Okay. End of off-topic post.

Today in science, the teacher started talking about things that were harmful to the environment. Of course, she brings up cars, and criticizes how they probably never thought how they would impact the environment, and how they just wanted them to go faster and faster. Boy did I feel alienated. :ouch:
Damn treehuggers.

True that. A while ago a good friend of mine was talking to a girl about cars and such, and I walked in and joined the conversation. I started by saying I had once seen a Lotus Elise, and it was really cool and such, and she replied, "You mean a lotus flower?"

*facepalm*

She probably drives a Prius then.

The Maple Leafs just got scored on twice by Phoenix, and the game's not even 6 minutes in. :grumpy:

Doubt she can afford one of those on a teacher's salary. But then again, I noticed that my math teacher has Acura car keys. :dopey:

What is it about teacher's salaries that are bad? My mother says they get a good salary and they complain about not having a good salary because they buy too much stuff.

Then again, I haven't seen any wonderful cars in the teacher's parking lot other then a Z4.

Our school parking lots are mostly Camries and crap, but there is an Infiniti FX with some niiice chrome wheels on it, and our nurse drives a W30 Toyota MR2. :)

One of the middle school teachers drives one. (W30 MR2) :dunce:

I've seen too many Camries and Priusssesss... ... in the school parking lot. Especially those darn Camries. The student parking lot however, is quite nice, actually no. It was nice. Must've been Seniors owning the cool cars.
