That sucks having to go back to school so soon after Christmas. Regarding the tuna, that sounds like a personal problem to me. :sly:

I know we don't Have much time off at all, every year ether less and less time off for Christmas, summer and sometimes inservice days. We had less days last year for Christmas break because we had so many snow days the year before and we ended up having 1 snow day off.

 I think my parents made tuna sandwiches or something.

Hmmm... When you try to do something nice, like congratulating them for something. Then they spit back a response that makes you think, 'What did I do wrong?' Then you realize you did nothing wrong, and that person is just an inconsiderate jerk. A quick 'thank you' wouldn't have caused such issue. That is all for now.

What's been grinding my gears for a good month or two is that every ad on the TV, no matter the time of day, is always those DAMN life insurance ad's saying "Your gonna die soon. Your family will be left with a big loss in their income, you better call this number now!" etc etc.

I swear if I see on of these ad's again, the TV's going in the wall.

End rant :dopey:

What do you expect Cowboys965? They're the Cowboys. And Tony Romo is now used on the Red Cross's diagrams on how to properly do the heimlech maneuvre. :dopey: I'm just kidding.

Why Redskins failure?

Because Rex Grossman. :dopey:
Just kidding.
But they have barely had ANY good plays, and even MISSED a field goal attempt...

A few words, practice and practice. It took me almost half a year to get the hang of writing drum tracks. Just start simple. Don't overlap bass drum and snare. Unless the bass drum is fast and consistent.

And for lyrics, I would need to know favourite bands to know how to help you.

Bass drum and snare can overlap. For example, in a fill, or if you have a constant 1/4 note or 1/8th note on the bass drum, you will have snare on 2 and 4 (in 4/4) with the bass drum. Is that what you mean by overlap?

Also I like Green Day, Sum 41, Cartel, Mayday Parade, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, etc...

I said that it can in that case. If the bass drum is going fast and consistent, I let the bass drum and snare hit at the same time (overlap) but if the bass drum is just simple (bass snare bass snare) I don't let it overlap.

on a 4/4 time sig if it's one bass per beat it sounds better to have bass on just 1 and 3 and snare on 2 and 4. But if there it 1/16th bass drum (4 a beat) then it's okay to have snare hit with snare. However, that is just how I do it.

Also, PM me some of your lyrics, I'll direct you. I have just over four years experience so...

Okay I will, thanks! Also, I think with the bass/snare overlap it depends on what cymbals houses hitting, and how loud etc...

I have to wake up early tomorrow but I slept in till 1 today. So I'm probably not gonna fall asleep till 1/2.

Anyway, a possible gear grinder.

Why do people cook these flash dinners and put all of this time into it? Why don't they just pop down to the fish & Chip shop and get us a good feed. It's not only easier but it tastes a lot better. It's like Nissan GTR vs Dodge Challenger. The GTR is quicker, and more expensive and a lot flasher, but the man in his Dodge Challenger will have all the fun and the biggest smile. Same with flash dinners and takeaways. Oh well, I guess people have to feel flash somehow.

When the Giants win the NFC East, and the news station keeps talking about it and even has a pre-made section about it. Oh and now there's another report on that game that was on right before the news.

Oh, did I mention it's the New York News?

Think posh resteruant, nicely presented food that costs £150 for a portion the size of a small mouse.

But he is saying "why do people cook them?". Presumably he means someone he knows (mother, father, a friend?) cooked some good food and gave it to him for him to eat.

In which he would prefer a takeaway instead.

Kinda odd though, as presumably a good home cooked food is better than a takeaway that is dripping in oil and fats....

@Cowboys965: Its a big deal because the Giants made the playoffs, and Romo and the Cowgirls choked again! Yeah I'm a Redskins fan, but no one expects playoffs here. What grinds my gears? The Dallas Cowboys. America's team? My 🤬! Some of their fans are worse than the 49er fans stuck in the 80s. Any way, with the War on Terror, blah blah blah, America's team? It's the New England Patriots. This can be said because they are a team that has won multiple Superbowls and is the model of excellence in this millenium.

Always carry a phone. Problem solved. Not that I ever take photos of nice cars because by the time I've got my phone out the car has gone.

I carry a phone, a crap one with a 4 pixel video camera..

I can still take images though.. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=78950&page=2484
That grinds my gears because when I go to see the pictures in that thread, the thumbnails load but the full size won't. Stupid ******* app never loads pictures.

Also, today is my last day of break. All I wanted to do was play games. But no, it's not that simple. My dad insisted on hanging my TV on a wall mount. We've had the mount for the past 2 weeks but decided today would be the day to do it. And nothing is ever simple. It took 2 fricken hours. 2 hours to hang a TV. Now it's up, but oh guess what? Now the internet doesn't work (I'm on my phone using 3G). So I can't play games.

My gears are SO ground right now that there are no teeth left, there's just metal circles with holes in the middle and a pile of metal shavings...!

Oh now my Dad is experimenting with what makes the internet not work, even though it works again. So now I can't play because I have to wait to see what happens when he moves this wire and disconnects that... Ughhhhhhh!

Felt quite pro until you needed it eh? Don't worry, we all have that moment sometime.

Exactly. They invited us round for some tea and cakes (no mentions of English stereotypes please ;)) and while I was there they asked if I could fix their second controller which wasn't working. I fiddled for 10 minutes with the obvious (batteries etc.) but to no avail. I accepted defeat and flicked through the manual, and there was the answer. They hadn't synced it properly.

Years ago I had a BSOD problem with my PC (not the one I have now though), and it took me days to try to figure out how to repair it. One thing I knew is that the BSOD error code was something that wasn't too serious, just couldn't find the solution. Then skimming on the instruction booklet...

Rich, spoilt thickos who have no brain, do 🤬 all in school, and just sit around all day bossing their foreign housekeeper about.
