Fiat 500 (old) with semi racing. It's sounds almost as if it's saying "I'm so angry about being small! Everyone makes fun of me! Grr!"

I noticed that, I tuned mine up took it to the track and thought 'jesus, someone sounds more powerful than they are' haha

Cars shift gears weird, When you shift the gears in a car on GT5 it's really fast and does not sound like a manual transmission sound at all, It sounds like a automanual transmission it's not smooth or realistic like it was in GTHD, Now luckally i have a G25 and shifting sounds worlds better, makes the best of the engine sounds because the car actually sounds like its revving up through the power band, I really think PD should add the shifting system back from GTHD but keep the realistic transmission blip and engine brake, Cars would sound worlds better, Or at least add a clutch button on the controller like in Pro street and forza.

Take the RM ZR1 for example. Who at PD heard that and said "Yup, that sounds about right"? Honestly, i understand that it's very difficult to get the sounds for a lot of the cars. And it takes a lot of dyno time and sound recording to get them right. But they should've at least took the time to go through and match the right sound to the right car.

Their is also a lack of backfires,wastegate/bov noise aswell. They spent absolutely 0 time on that.

All in all i'd give the sounds a 6/10

Absolutely right there, i love the ZR1 RM it drives like a gem but my ears start hurting after driving it for too long because of that annoying sound. A vet should sound heavy and low. And no way to change it as the race exhaust cannot be dismantled.

That's what I noticed as well. It's hard to explain why, but cars what shift up "properly" just sound much, much better than if they just up-shifted.

It's probably why people prefer the "sound" of manual shifting.

787B is the best sounding car by miles IMO, love that high pitch scream!

to bad with out out a clutch it sounds like it does not rev past 6000 rpm..

Hi,

Really love the Autobacs ARTA Garaiya (SUPER GT) ‘08.

Add all upgrades and the sound is really good in cockpit view.

The same goes for those changing the V12 Vantage, XJ220 or Aventador

Correction. The XJ220 doesn't sound correct anymore. The sample that it had in previous games sounded exactly like the real thing.

Who decides to leave the stock exhaust not only in the Aventador or the Murcielagos should be shot. That is a V10 sound sample there, same that the Gallardo has, but higher pitched. The sound is a complete insult. The closer that you can get to the typical loud Lamborghini V12 sound is with the racing exhaust, although it's an over used sample in the game. However it's starting sound is correct.

The Vantage is probably one of the most correct sounding cars in the game. Also the standard Zondas, as well as the Cizeta-Moroder V16T. And a honorary mention to the Lexus LFA for its sound being fixed in a patch after it was probably the worst sounding car in GT5.

Try it with a Shelby Series One Supercharged, with stock exhaust.
Eargasmic!!!

Rather appropriate. Celebrate the man, the myth, the legend. R.I.P.

The AMG SLS sounds amazing at iddle and very low revs. If you have a powerful home theatre, just park the car, crank up the volume and enjoy the music.

Since it's automatic, leave it in gear for best results. It's at 1100 rpms where the eargasm happens.

I've absolutely fallen in love with the Nissan R89C/R92CP. The sound they make as they go through gears 3-4-5 (using the stock ratios) is an absolute eargasm. Quite easily the best sounding Le Mans cars in-game (the 787B is way overrated in my opinion)

My favourite sounding car in the WHOLE GAME has to be:
Shelby GT350 R
It does sound quite similar to real life, too.

Cerbera speed 12 , i like her voice ;))

I think the R8 FSI has got a pretty decent engine sound. Pretty accurate but lacking a bit of grunt of course.

Others that are decent:
Shelby GT350.
Cizeta Moroder
Zonda's

As for the people who think the start up sounds are good. Of course they are because they're real recordings of the cars starting up. There's absolutely no way to fail because you don't have to do anything with the recordings. Unlike the reving sounds, which you have to alter so simulate the real engine sound.

Cizeta Moroder?

2000 Mustang Cobra R/F-150 Lightning
Fully tuned titanium race exhaust, pure heaven!

Ford gt with full exhaust is outstanding!

My favorite engine sound ever is the original ford gt40

For the same exact exhaust sound listen to the Audi R8 4.2 FSI with full titanium setup. Could not believe they piped the thunderous sound of the Ford GT into the little 4.2, the 5.2 sounds more fitting for an R8.

I noticed this yesterday for the first when I drove the R8 4.2 in third person.

Sorry for going off topic a little.

Audi R8 V10 with a sports exhaust.

The best sounding one to me is My 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T RM, use the stock exhaust though, racing exhaust sounds ricerish. it sounds just like my Dodge Coronet

The reason it sounds so close it that the ford GT uses a 4.6l v8 not too different to whats in the crown victorias. SO the size isn't far off

got to be honest the black gt40 spec2 test car sounds ace
