What Happened to SRS?

Im wondering what happened to SRS. This game seemed to just disappeared from all the ads it had in all the magazines.

SRS = STREET RACING SYNDICATE, IT had a simliar concept to NFS: Underground.

I beleive this game turned into the Fast & Furious Game.

I know 3DO went out of business but them I heard that Namco took over the games development. I haven't hear nothing since and I hope it hasn't turned into TF&F game.

yea, I was wondering the same thing....they had it going and all.....and they had those import models all interviewed and incorporated into the game already.....it was supposingly quite hte interesting game...news on IGN says that the production of SRS is underway with namco now......but no news is available about the production status of the game....

Yeah, I heard that another developer bought the rights to the game, I don't remember if it was Namco, or not, but it's going to take a little while longer to finish the game because of it.

I heard in PSM that Namco did in fact take over on the project of SRS. So it'll come but will be longer, as IceGT said, because of the switch in developers.

I think NFS: Underground is SRS. After looking at the game more. The same cars are in NFS:Underground, all the features and everything. I think thats when Namco started the R: Evolution Project.

No, No!!! NFS:Underground was already in dev, as well as R: Evolution Project. SRS was nearly finished, I think 85-90%. Namco does now own the rights to SRS, and it is still slated for release. Think 2nd quater 2004

I preordered the game from Gamespot, (when it was first in development), and then they went out of business. So I still have it preordered. It's coming out in November now? ****ING ****CK
It better be good, for the developers to make us wait this long.

yea...i guess the key attention here is the ability to race for money and buy chicks and stuff.....and chicks being modeled from real import models.....atleast that's what they are trying to sell, in my opinion....
