What have you done to your car today?

^ Word! Sick wheels, stance, color scheme...

I will have to try to get a vid of my "dragster" tomorrow. It's in my parents' garage after all, and pumping out those kinds of emissions is a no-go while they're home :O. Going to try and have it closed up by nightfall though, I'm dying to go to Concours on Sunday.

Beautiful 1-series!

I took the hardtop off and stowed it inside since it's supposed to be nice today

Looks good! 👍

Put camber bolts on the MR2 today, cranked to max negative, which doesn't look like much. I didn't drive it any to see how it looks on asphalt or how it feels. Will do that tomorrow..Hoping that at least put me somewhat negative.

Wasn't able to get the vid, I was wanting one for my own records too. Ended up doing a brake job on a Cavalier.

Got the car running today. Stiff mounts blow, think I'm gonna try selling mine for softer HASports. I remember reading they offer inserts of varying stiffness...?

Throwing codes:

CEL 3 - MAP
CEL 17 + tranny 4 - VSS
CEL 36 - traction control

I had the map wired up wrong so switched some wires around and it seemed to fix the rough start I had, but I guess there's a still better ordering of wires. The VSS connector on the tranny is broken I already knew; speedo doesn't work. TCS is just because I have a JDM ECU. I'll have to figure out a way to cancel that code or I'll have to start checking the CEL regularly.

Also leaking coolant somewhere, as well as ATF out of one of that system's radiator lines. Tightening the hose clamp wasn't helping. And I need to figure out the shifter-to-TCU wiring, because it's not shifting like it should. Sucks I have to miss Concours tomorrow to take care of all this.

Long day, almost none of it spent at home. Went to a junkyard for window motors and regulators. Got two sets but they didn't have one for my driver door, so instead I grabbed some OEM rear mud flaps. I just like the look.

Doing all that work now. Need to go back this weekend for the VSS and some spare computer pins. And hopefully take care of the other two windows.

^ what car? Swap in a manual rack :)

bled the clutch fluid. Feels brand new.

Tomorrow: replace 140 degree thermostat with OEM 190 degree because I'm an idiot and thought 140 was somehow better but the engine takes forever to warm up.

Bahahaha!

but no no manual. Im trying to save up for a miata or FC

I want an RX-7 Turbo II or another Miata as well. Probably Miata lol. Or a decent first-gen MR2 or CRX.

well my criteria is small, light, good handling, rwd, manual, cheap.

pretty much describes a miata.

👍 you won't be disappointed, and you will be bitten by the mod bug. Just don't go getting into credit card debt. The Miata is so much fun to upgrade :)

Just installed the 4 new Infinity speakers in the car, head unit has been stolen off my door step it seems so I couldn't install that obviously, still waiting to hear back from UPS about it.

Didn't do too much today, err yesterday. I wired in the electric fuel pump to the fuse box on my '71. Now the pump comes on when the key is turned on, instead of having to use a clip and hook it to the battery like I was doing when I got the car running again.

Last week we swapped out the 2.73 ten bolt one legger for the 3.31 12 bolt posi I picked up. Two weeks before that we dropped the engine back in. I pulled it out and freshened it up with rings and bearings.

Car is in the shop for a service engine soon light. Codes said it was emissions. I should find out result from them smoking it out today.

Fixed all the little problems with my engine, so that now runs flawlessly. However, my tranny is acting up. But I was still running the Accord's TCU. The Prelude Si unit came in the mail today, so tomorrow night it's a fluid swap, pop the new computer in, then test drive. If it still feels like it's slipping, I'm ordering another 'lude tranny in a few weeks.

17" wheels! Pics coming as soon as I get around to washing the car and find some time for a photo shoot. There are some rubbing issues so I guess I'll have to roll the fenders and possibly adjust the camber when I upgrade my suspension.

I think your car is telling you it wants a manual.

Installed yellow fog light bulbs and brighter head light bulbs into the Focus. I hope it's no longer like a candle in a jar when I'm driving at night.

No pics or vids yet though I have noticed... You need to get on that.

I had a bit of a drive around a couple of places around my work on my way home tonight, finally, to sort out a couple of nagging things I've been meaning to get sorted for a while on the car - first is I ordered a complete under car bush kit from Whiteline, most of which will be here this week but the rear trailing arm bushes will be 6 weeks, so just in time for my trip to Bathurst.

I also picked up some hub rings for when my rims finally arrive - closest I could get without paying a ridiculous amount for custom ones was 54.1 - 73.1, I need 54.1 - 72.2, luckily I have a friend who works with a lathe, so he's going to shave 0.9mm off the outside for me.

Now I just need to book in to get the windscreen resealed, the squeaking is driving me nuts..

My PC died on me, I'm running off my PS3 now, so it's a hassle to get to a machine to post pics. Trying to get a netbook soon, but gotta be positive of the tranny's condition. I'm going to see if it can handle an hour or two cross-state. Hoping for next Sunday off so I can go to the hill climb at Pikes Peak again. Last year I overheated racing an AE86 back down. I was braver in the corners but still limped home. I can't have a tranny go out on me, since I'm trying to make it able to drive to Minnesota (~12 hrs) and back in September.
