I'm sure at some point in your life, you've thrown something out that you then realise you needed.
Well yesterday, while cleaning out my office, I found a few of those pre-paid Mastercards that I got for x-mas. Since they were on my desk under a pile of junk and not in my wallet I figured that I must've spent them. So naturally they went in the massive garbage bag I had handy, and I didn't give them a second thought.
Until this morning that is. I thought.. Maybe I should've checked those cards, make sure I wasn't throwing away money. So I started desperately pawing through the garbage, on the floor up to my elbows in what was thankfully mostly just wrappers and such, but there definately was some food and other sticky junk.
As these things usually go, I was able to find every little thing I had thrown out in the past week EXCEPT the cards, and I worked for a good fifteen minutes trying to find them. Then, success! I find all three of them. So I go wash my hands and run to the computer to check them. Yup, a total of $2.50 across the three.
Then, to add insult to injury, I go to pick up the garbage bag, and it rips around a hole I had made while pawing through the trash, spilling junk all over my freshly cleaned office floor.
Well, I'm going to go use that $2.50 and buy a soda, I've definately earned it.
