Okay, what I was trying to say is that I've played GT2 and won licenses. Highest I went was to the I-C license. When I tried to replay my game, the game said that there were errors in trying to load my GT2 data. My Memory Card was in there correctly (in case you're wondering, I have two), and several times, I've had to keep restarting my game from the very beginning. You know what I mean- 10,000 Cr and no racing license.
Since then, I've put GT1 data on another Memory Card and since then, GT2 has still loaded properly. Now that I am "rediscovering" GT2, if I wanted to play GT1, I can put it on my other Memory Card. So that's what I meant.
And I'm going on past experiences, so don't tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. And if I make a mistake about a past GT game, I'm only human. I'm not a GT LEGEND, I don't have the IQ to make even the most hardened Harvard or Yale graduate shake in his/her boots. I never said that I was perfect with past GT games. Only one I've completed was GT1. Completed in the sense of finishing all championship races. I've never swept Gold for any set of license tests. Closest I've come was the A-License tests for Gran Turismo 3. All that stood in my way was the Seattle Circuit test with the Camaro. Got silver several times there.
I promised to myself that I wouldn't preach or attack, but that's one of the dumbest things I've heard now that Eagle's brought it up. I'd rather play a new GT game than try to finish one other game first. To me, the GT series was never meant to be a consecutive series. This isn't like "The Matrix" series. You don't have to play the other GTs in succession to "unlock" GT4. To me, you play GT4 first chance you get. It doesn't matter if it is before or after you finish GT3. WHAT IF you don't finish GT3 at all? There is always time. You don't have to complete GT3 even if your life depended on it. That's why we fall back on these games. To rediscover. To replay. To revive the challenge. But when you say that "in order to play GT4, you must complete GT3 first," you're making it sound like getting into college. You know, "in order to get into this university/college, you need to have a ___ GPA and a ___ degree." And Gran Turismo is a game, not a career. I'd rather play one GT then move on to the next. You can't expect all GT gamers to have the same level of devotion for the series. So what if one person can race the Grand Valley 300km three times in one day and win all three times? So what if someone has all Gold and all available cars? I'm not Eagle. I'm not Kart Racer. I'm not even Solid Lifters. I have my own devotion to Gran Turismo even if it isn't outrageous. If you think people like me and Eagle are the lesser class of the GT subculture, then you obviously need to get a life and reconsider your attitude towards others.
