What improvements would you like to see in FH3?

I think you guys have got the right idea. I would rather they move closer to a Forza 6 drive model but I can see why many dont want that.

One of the worst things about France Italy as depicted is that it feels like Colorado.

You really do want a more varied driving environment. Much more elevation, perhaps taking a little from every little part of the world, more waterways, more realistic 4WD environments, not flying in the air rally but how about a real use for a 4wd system in the SUVs and such.

I'd love a more urban environment but I'd reckon you're stretching the engine. Skyscrapers and more dense buildings.. I mean France and Colorado feel like almost rural places as they are now in the game.

I suppose other games can do it so why not them?

Something I would like, is being able to own the same cars as the traffic, (Ford escape, Subaru legacy, Minivan, etc.)
or a "Horizon Track Day" on a real circuit. as well as a house for the player, eg. TDU2.

I can do without some of the narration. The silly girl every time you go to the garage to upgrade or the guy that keeps saying "championship" in a funny way. Less wasteful driving back to the festival for some unknown party and awards ceremony or to pick a new championship. It would be nice to pick the next destination after your race ends and head straight there. And at first the radio stations annoyed me, but they kind of grew on me some. Still would like to have a classic rock station and maybe a metal station to have a bit more variety. Just minor things I would like to see in Horizon 3. It would be sweet to rock out to some Pantera though during free roam or a race. :)

I'm with you. I would like a more stripped down experience in all Forza games... I dont need a woman to tell me I just bought a "BMW E39 M5 whatever"... I just pushed the buttons, of course I know what I bought.

But lets be real, Turn 10 seem to think their audience wants all these frills and gubbins in their games. They want Ben and that girl and that mechanic who greets you on every menu. Its a festival guys.

I found it a bit ridiculous how I unlocked free teleport so I didnt need to drive anywhere but I STILL had to do the useless road trip.

Forza Horizon 3 must have a free play mode where we can use any car in the game like the traditional Forza's (2, 3 and 4) and with gameplay modes similar to NFS. We also need more customization (both visual and performance) and we have to make sure every car competes at the same level when fully tuned. Nitrous must also come to Forza and must be realistically portrayed. And not to mention realistic driving and handling physics. Forza Horizon 2 almost felt a little too close to an arcade game.

Something I've been impressed with playing the Crew this weekend, the game lets you drive right up to bodies of water. It's a real shame in Horizon, as there's always a barrier in the way.

So for H3, I'd love for them to have open access to water. They only need to add in an auto reset option for those who get too close.

The ability to "switch on" realistic physics with consequences of bad driving, something like what we have in the FM games.

Love the festival setting, but don't want the game to get too *colorful* in terms of the driving model.

More grunt and detail in the engine/exhaust sounds and improved doppler effects are always welcome.

lights in the cockpit would be nice

Ability to set a custom radio station from music tracks already in the game
More visual customization (More choices for bumpers, side skirts, wings, hoods etc.)
Interior customization (Ability to change the look of the steering wheel and gauges)
Turn signal & Convertible roof operation (Like in TDU)

Noice noice!

I'm really anxious to see how they're improving engine sounds this time around. Err... no rev-hanging please, thank you!

Though I only played FH2 on the Xbox 360, they need to improve the following:

- AI (I'm basing this on my experience playing FH2, one time I picked up a LaFerrari and decided to race in medium with hypercars, the 1st and 2nd AIs are pulling away quickly to the point where you can't even catch them to get 2nd or 1st.)
- Car parts (I'm getting a bit tired of the generic Forza bumper and wing. They need to add bodykits to the game.)
- Car selection
- No invisible walls
- Better endgame rewards (though for me the endgame reward was the Fast Travel glitch where you fast travel with insufficient amount of money causing you to get 999,999,999 credits if you attempt to fast travel.)
- Better map (I want Japan. The physics in this game is already good enough for mountain drifts.)

And that's about it.

Oh I agree. In addition, I would like them to focus on:

- A diverse selection of bodykits, including wide bodykits and "racecar" bodykits
- Engines, exhausts and wind noise to be more pronounced, particularly the former two
- A profound effect on the car's audio character after applying engine/powertrain upgrades.
- Physics that punish you at least a little for careless/bad driving; taking into account nuanced braking, aero, wind direction etc.
- Proper headlight projection, as opposed to seeing just 20 feet in front of your car; headlights should illuminate the road properly as well as objects around it within the car's headlight range; high-beam option would be nice
- Again, better sound balancing to make the cars come alive as well as other cars in the race
- Adjust FOV to give proper cockpit views
- Make the bumper cam a proper bumper cam; one that hugs the road as if it IS in fact, mounted on the bumper as opposed to the edge of the hood or a cockpit perspective without the dash
- Increased sense of speed since the game is probably never going to 60 fps
- Please don't make it any more arcade that it already is!

About the race car kits, so far the Bentley Continental (XBone Exclusive) has race car parts.

Yeah I agree. The physics could use a bit of realism but for me the physics are already good enough.

Did anybody used the Fast Travel Glitch for X360 version of FH2?

The Bentley Continental, eh? I'll be sure to check it out.

The physics are quite good though what disappoints me somewhat is the "excuse" to dumb down physics just because it's a "fun and open road game".
An open road racing game can still have realistic physics with consequences and a more dynamic crash system that takes into account weight and gravity.

I've suggested in the official forum as well that they give gamers the option to have true FM physics - the casual gamers can always use the basic Horizon 2 core model or use additional settings/assists to make the game more "fun and accessible".

IMO, there are far too many fun/casual and arcade racing games out there - I don't want to see Forza even partially submerged in the same niche. It is unique and really stands out. The realistic physics tie in heavily in that regard.

Actually, the driving experience in FH2 was great for me. One time I decided I cruise around with my LaFerrari and it seems that FH2 has won over me. Its like I want to drive more with my LaFerrari.

Well, if we talk about driving experience and gameplay, that is over the top fantastic and that's an understatement.

The LaF is without a doubt one of my fav cars to drive in H2 as well cos' they nailed the sound so well from all views. It's an earful and does justice to the real thing. Mehh.. the rev hanging bug I do not enjoy as much!

There is a lot to do in the game.. you never really run out of stuff to do, and even if it comes to that.. you can just pick a car, cruise around, take in the sights, take photos or challenge someone to sprint.

All of this would be a deeper more engaging experience if only they tune the physics to replicate more with respect to how really fast cars actually behave IRL on the open road. With H2, they were practically encouraging people to take exotics off-road.. come one! Why not just have separate events for that? With rally cars and off-roaders?

I think the offroad/rally aspect is a bit diluted due to the lack of rally spec cars and offroad cars. Here's to hoping that Vaughn Gittin's Funhaver would be in the game.

Yeah the LaFerrari really made me love more FH2. Its also that feeling that you'll be able to replicate the car reviews from Top Gear like the LaFerrari for example. After watching James May drive the LaFerrari, it made me want to drive so I decided to open up FH2 and buy the LaFerrari and the results? I was able to replicate Captain Slow's car review.

The ability to switch any cars at anytime without needing to go all the back to the garage in order to do so, especially to avoid sacrificing credits for fast traveling (unless you've smashed all F.T. boards). I'll greatly appreciate it. ;)

Maybe you already knew this, but FH2 on XB360 lets you do that, which was a bit of an odd bonus for that version. So there is a precedent.

Hahaha... for real?

Miss those three clowns. LeBlanc is joining hands with the new host - wonder how that's going to be.

The LaF is something I never tire of driving in H2 or FM5 for that matter. Another one that is an earful and does REAL justice to the actual car: the P1 in H2. :dopey::dopey::dopey:

Maybe T10 should let PG work on the sound for a while...just a thought.

You need to tell me Sumo did something PG couldn't, on a last gen-console? WHAT!!?? Such a feature should be in every FH game, no fair. :ouch:

lol

I guess it was a right move all along for me to buy an X360 rather than buying a XBOne.

I actually bought the 360 for 95 dollars on a flea market bundled with Burnout Revenge, Forza Horizon 2, and NFS Most Wanted '05. Though the 360 I bought has power supply problems, it was still worth 95 dollars.

@FilipinoGTUser1 -- If you're enjoying FH2 on XB360, I highly recommend the original Forza Horizon if you haven't bought that one yet. 👍 In my opinion, it's the better game of the two, partly because of how FH2 was squeezed onto the XB360, and also for the physics and gameplay. It's not as streamlined as FH2 (no swapping cars on the fly), but it's a more polished game, the handling is more simulation-like, the AI puts up a better fight, and the world feels more fleshed out.

Will look for a copy soon of the original Forza Horizon. I heard that it had better car selection than FH2.

I second that - the original Horizon is far better than Sumo's pathetic attempt at a Horizon game. Picking it up is a no-brainer.
But the question is, how good is the original Forza Horizon? Honestly FH2 already won me over but I like to see what's in store for the original FH game.

Well, as you know we're talking FH2 on the X360 vs. Horizon.

It is a polished and refined game. You'll love the control - it's actually less arcadey than H2 on either platform and you'd be amazed at how much they could squeeze out of the 360 then. Excellent game all in all and if you think H2 on the 360 was good... you're going to love how ridiculously good the original is.

They also replicated the car sounds beautifully, before and after upgrades. Though they're not as loud as F4's samples.

I used to actually loath it at first, since I was such a FM nut, but when I gave in, boy did it win me over. :D
