What is So good about the 2J?

With the right tune I bet it would be a rocket on the 1/4. 3 speeds are still popular on the drag strip in both auto and manual forms as is 2 and 4 speeds.

I actually geared the transmission like a Turbo 350 for the Historic Racing Car Cup. Thing goes 0-150 MPH in about 10 seconds.

Unfortunately, the way GT5 has the transmission tuning set up, I couldn't get it quite right. The game wants your ratios to be somewhat in-line, so I either couldn't make first gear low enough (it was supposed to be 2.520, it wouldn't go lower than 2.350) or I couldn't make third high enough (if first was 2.520, then I couldn't make third gear 1.000; it wouldn't go higher than 1.077). I settled on having first gear be higher than it should since I wanted top speed. Still, with a 3.23 final drive, the car's hella fast. I'm sure it'd be faster with 3.42 or 3.73 gears.

Runs 8.91x - 8.93x (don't remember exactly) in a 1/4 with a good tune, atleast mine does
