Skid Recovery Force. It's basically like a cheat to give you a little more grip

He likes to use the !!!!!!!!!!!!! and the ?????????????!!!!!!!!!! ???????'(jk)

In drag racing SRF is an aid which causes the tires to spin less. It is considered to be unfair to use SRF when trying to beat the top times for the 1/4 mile drag. It is often disabled online. In circuit racing it helps cornering so you slide less around them. It gives better lap times. That is why PD disables it in the Time Trial events.

Please show me why you believe this is a cheat. Show me the real life times using SRF to compare to GT5 and so on. I would love for someone to come forward and explain technically how it is a cheat and how it makes a tune cheating...What because it makes your 800+bhp run .1 faster? show the the real life comparisons to prove it please...They disable it in curcuit TT's because it can be exploited...which it cannot be in a straight line obviously...

Skid Recovery Force doesn't exist in real life. Real enough for you?

It's fake grip. Simple enough.

Oh please go into the technical detail showing real life grip thresholds compared to GT\5 to show that SRF is or isn't realistic. Can't wait for this one. Also show an identically tuned car both in GT5 and real life and let's see if SRF really makes your car faster...How do you know SRF doesn't make cars closer to their real life companions?

We've already been down this road in hundreds on threads. Please search next time before posting.

I don't need to search mate, I've been frequenting these foums since long before ssrx or the drag subforum even existed, still yet to see a direct comparison between to exactly identical cars to prove the unfounded facts.(If you're truly oblivious to the fact that this will never happen that is).

Obviously PD have made the cars feel more realistic with aids off.

How do you not understand the meaning of FAKE GRIP. Racing slicks are still too grippy but its better then switching something on that will give you more. I'm not sure if you're aware, but last time I checked at my local drag strip there wasn't a button you could just switch on and magically give you more grip. The subject has been beaten to death.

Logic - ever heard?

Please explain what REAL GRIP is and how to determine it in GT5 thanks. Actually there a few a few switches you can hit at the track not to mention the extra traction from certain surface types. Launch control is a cheat i guess?

Do we have launch control? :indiff:

Logic - ever heard?

Logic goes out the window in games mate, you should have realised that when you needed more than 3 gears down the strip.

Also YES LAUNCH CONTROL IS IN GT5. You just probably have no idea how to use it...Go on, say it isn't so another person who really knows can eplain.

The closest thing to real grip is what is programmed in the slicks.

Logic is a general term.

 good joke

 If you mean TCS -> no, TCS is not a launch control
That's ridiculous You just probably have no idea how to use it...Go on, say it isn't so another person who really knows can eplain.
