What is the best car for the 24 minute endurances?

Don't forget the rocket car 👍
No pitstops for tires nor fuel...

(although it's almost cheating and for sure it's not a challenging race)
The Rocket would definitely be a challenge for me. Might try it later.

Only La Sarthe is a bit challenging as they outrun you on the straight.
But keeping the car on the track will give you the win.
All others you can do sleeping lol

Edit, stay on RH, whatever happens.

I used the Sauber and turned down the turbos and power so that I could make 3 laps and then pit; last lap was me and another Sauber :); At Spa I was 50 seconds ahead at the end.

I'm used the GT-R R35 Touring car , more 6 minutes ahead of second place :) !! ( OBS : sorry for my bad english , i'm from brazil )

I so tried this and failed

I tried a heavily detuned FGT around Spa for a laugh. I figured as long as I was in a pack, someone would have lights. Indeed, for a while it worked until I needed to clear the pack I was in, found myself in clean air and couldn't see anything. I thought it'd be very dim and a struggle to see, but yeah... it's pretty much just pitch black.

Mind you, I still managed to whack in another lap pretty much just off memory, albeit with some mistakes, but then admitted to myself that what I was attempting was just plain stupid.

Driving line. No-one's looking :sly:

@Philipp Nunes welcome to GTPlanet :gtpflag: Don't worry, your english is better than most native speakers ;)

Used the red bull jr on spa. The whole field was redbull jr. Kinda cool. But was to easy. Finished 2 laps ahead of all but one.

Yeah, I did the same thing hoping it'd be a reasonably interesting race. Was in 5th at the end of the first lap, in 2nd after La Source on lap 2, and then in 1st before Eau Rouge. Rest of the race was just me driving around on my own, except for when I came up on everyone to lap them. And then at the end it said I was 2 laps ahead, so I guess they'd all pitted several times for no real reason.

Easy credits I suppose, but not particularly interesting.

Have done 24h spa/lemans in the sauber mercedes c9 ..was fast enough to build a good gap for the pitstops

At first I took the Audi R18 (Intermediates and RH) for Le Mans, but even the old Mark IV Race Car smashed me on the straights. :odd:
Setting downforce to 0 (front and back) helped a bit, but at the end it wasn't enough to win. Finished 3rd if I remember correctly. But I've to admit that I did make a mistake and filled in too much fuel for the last stint.

Then I bought the Sauber C9 and won. Great car, but the turbo kicks in so hard, I find it almost uncontrollable with DS3 when the tires are cold/new. Btw, it's really not fair that AI doesn't have to struggle with cold tires.

Le Mans? Red Bull Junior. I could have parked on the startline and waited for the timer to run down but I got bored and did another lap.

Fuel was in the red by the end but not of any concern. Front RH tyres dropped to 9 on the last lap.

The Spa 24 was a total pushover with this car as well.

The Peugeot 905B worked nicely for me in Spa and Le Mans, although it is helped by the AI pitting at some awkward times.

Hi Guys !

I used a bit different plan here at both. I went for the Red Bull Jr. and smoked 'em on the first try.

Played with the gearing and took out all the wing and won on speed.

Give it a try ! Quite FUN

I just tried the Audi S1 at Nurburgring 24min tonight for giggles. The thing was an absolute treat, no stops, almost better in the rain on RH the whole way.

All I did was widen up the gears a bit (193 I think?) Topped out at 166mph.

"24 minute endurance race" This always makes me laugh. (I still love GT though)

As childish as it may feel compared to the true 24hr races from previous games, I think they fill a nice little niche. 24mins is a nice length of time to spend racing, and having the whole 24hr day/night cycle with weather lets you experience a lot during your time there.

I completely agree. I wasn't trying to bash GT at all, even though after reading what I posted it sounds like it. I think it's perfect, as I simply don't have time to do races that require much more time than that

I'm torn...should I drop cash on the r18??
There are many faster cars for similar or cheaper prices and it doesn't drive any easier than the 908. If you are a big Audi fan or just a fan of the R18 then go for it, but there are more cost effective options such as the 88C-V or the R92CP

I used the newer Deltawing and while I was slightly slower then the AI I won on strategy

I won LeMans with a black Deltawing on stock power and racing softs. That took quite a few tries and it was interesting as I was slaughtered by the Group C and LMP cars (i.e. pretty much everyone) on the straights.

It's a perfect example of "Slow and steady wins the race". Except that it's easy to make up time in the corners. And if you spin at all and don't conserve fuel, you'll need to pit to make the last lap.

I've just run the 24-minute Nurb and LeSarthe events in the Peugeot 905 with the base engine (non-turbo), and won them both by over two minutes. Car has adequate performance (185mph top speeds on the straights, great handling through corners), much better fuel economy than other LMPs I've tried, and is somewhat easier on its tires.

Tonight I ran the 24-min Nurb race. Tried to give the Audi R8 LMS Ultra a second chance, then promptly gave up after it spun me out in the first corner. 👎:grumpy: A shame that the game doesn't have Gazoo Racing Lexus LFA as it's one of my favourite cars in the 24H race in real life. Won the race with a fully tuned Gazoo Racing Toyota 86.
