Bo
It does, but I don't think he understands that in real life, cars fit into regulations. I don't even think he knows about respectable racing, or racing itself.

Just wait until he enters a full on GT3 lobby in his Quattro...
I hate to spoil an argument but when I entered GT3 into GT6 so many cars were eligible that I found it very difficult to tell what was what. Unless it has GT3 in title then you're basically stupid. I cannot find anywhere in game that points out exactly how to spot a Gzt3 that isn't clearly labelled.
So if somebody does name a car that is eligible for gt3 events on or offline then I think the reaction here is a little over the top. After all it's all virtual. We aren't on a grid with somebody cheating. This isn't the communities best moment considering just how many posts and the condescending nature of some.
Can't we just lighten up? I wanna know the best cars that are ELIGABLE for specific GT event. This is not me criticising everyone, more of a plea for calmer heads...

BMW Z4 is the best GT3 Car specified by PP

Regulations set at 552bhp 1350kg, i feel the SLS would be the best in this situation.

(Edit) There are only 14 PD designates as GT3 for seasonals, and allows uptuning to 630 PP but these setting allow ~equal performance ~ 2015 actual race timings.

M-B SLS 15AE - 1350 kg, 550 HP, 619 PP
BMW Z4 - 1190 kg, 550 HP, 605 PP
Audi R8 LMS - 1250 kg, 575 HP, 623 PP
GTR - 1350 kg, 625 HP, 627 PP (four versions, Schulze, Base, Nismo, Academy)

Others, stock
GTR 15 AE - 1350 kg, 621 HP, 616 PP
M-B SLS - 1350 kg, 493 HP, 610 PP
Audi R8 LMS - 1300 kg, 554 HP, 588 PP (Playstation '09)
Audi R8 15AE - 1250 kg, 592 HP, 617 PP
Audi R8 LMS - 1250 kg, 562 HP, 599 PP (Phoenix '12)
Audi R8 '09 - 1300 kg, 512 HP, 588 PP
Audi R8 '10 - 1340 kg, 560 HP, 586 PP (Oreca)
But several others can be set up using the FIA ~ Balance of Performance criteria,
1200-1300 kg, 500-600 HP, LM cars should be approx. equivalent with power and weight changes. And GT6 special TC editions.

Corvette ZR1 LM - 1250 kg, 575 HP, 603 PP
Corvette Z06 LM - 1200 kg, 550 HP, 587 PP
Corvette C5R - 1250 kg, 575 HP, 594 PP
Corvette C2 - 1250 kg, 575 HP, 572 PP

Viper GTS-R - 1200 kg, 525 HP 599 PP
Camaro LM - 1200 kg, 592 HP, 601 PP
Falcon XR8 - 1350 kg, 650 HP, 609 PP
GTR R34 TC -
Lexus LF-LC - 1250 kg, 500 HP, 590 PP (has ERS)
Toyota FT-1 - 1200 kg, 539 HP, 605 PP (has ERS)
Fairlady Z LM -
GTR R35 TC - 1215 kg, 575 HP, 610 PP (4wd)
GTR Concept LM - 1200 kg, 590 HP, 609 PP
Lexus IS-F TC - 1200 kg, 625 HP, 599 PP
BMW Vision GT - 1180 kg, 500 HP, 604 PP

MR cars need more handicapping:
Jaguar XJ220 LM - 1200 kg, 550HP, 607 PP
Ford GT LM Spec II - 1250 kg, 500 HP, 603 PP
Pagani Zonda LM - 1200 kg, 550 HP, 594 PP
McLaren F1 GTR base 1200 kg, 525 HP, 592 PP
Lamborghini Diablo GT-1 1200 kg, 575 HP, 595 PP

Here are GT3 actual 2015 lap times, avg(pole + fl). 14 GT6 laps are being used for the popular FIA GT3 national and international series such as Pirelli World, Michelin, Blancpain, ADAC, IMSA, Asia.

The Speilberg track is a good calibration lap, should be able to do with the 630 PP RH in-game GT3 cars.

Red Bull Ring - 1:30.6
Motegi - 1:15.0
Nurburgring GP - 1:15.6
Brands Hatch - 1:24.2

450bhp is all you need

This thread seems pretty dead now . But in answer to OP's question , my favourite GT3 would be the RJN Nissan.

All down to preference .

as of today, I'd say anything BUT the Z4. It sucks. It's just horrible. My 25th car and well, the very first one I regret to buy.
Horrible handling
Horrible acceleration
Not that stable either
Takes an hour to get out of that grass, as 1st shift is hella long to start pushing

A the end of the day, my 628pp's stock Aventador is definitely better on all aspects, and well, if I fail to control it, at least I won't drop from 3rd position to 16th just by trying to get back on track... >_<
