As, the question begs, what is the best ricer in gt5, i have a toyota supra, and that is a ricer, any others....?

Umm, aren't "best" and "ricer" kind of opposing terms?

Your Supra might be a ricer but none of mine will ever be.

Right, I think you are using the term ricer in the wrong context. However, I am aware that over in the UK the majority of the tuning realm is in the form of bodykit/audio system work rather than serious performance, so maybe ricer - typically associated with the show-car crowd, is being used in the wrong sense here. I'm not too sure to be quite frank. However, I don't consider any of my Supras' rice and am actually slightly and minutely offended by your implicization that a Supra is rice just because it is in fact a Supra. Not too happy about that.

Maybe you're misunderstanding the term 'ricer'? I take that term as a sign of a badly bodykitted an/or modded vehicle, typically made in japan.

If you're just referring to the best 'japanese' vehicle, then say so. Don't call it a ricer.

The best 'ricer' looking vehicle in the game is probably the Blitz skyline. The one with the neon blue lights on the front end at night. Best all around japanese car? Not a clue. There's a lot of good ones.

Not sure how any car in GT5 can be a ricer, considering the lack of ricey bodykits. Unless you just call every car from Asia a ricer.

Personally I don't think any car is riced, in GT5 or real life.

People who "rice" their cars are being creative and unique in their own way, it was welcomed back in the early 2000's and I fail to see what is so bad about it. I'm not saying I wish to do this to my own car in the future, I just think some of you should lay off the criticism.

My acceptance of other people's opinions and tastes can only go so far. Rice is one thing that really crosses that line.

The problem is that same argument can be used against you...

Have you ever been to America? Have you seen some of the riced out garbage running around this country? Rice is a derogatory term placed on cars that are modded into eyesores. Yes, ricers exist in the real world. In GT5, i already stated the one car that would appear to be ricey, but it has the power to back it up. It's the closest thing to a ricer this game has.

ricer: ****** fake race modified car, "example" dude did you see that skyline that i just blew past.... ya totally, but it was a ricer, i know what ricer means

How is the Supra a ricer then? Is yours painted a ridiculous color or something?

I think OP meant "What's the best japanese car in GT5?" to which the answer is: Nissan GTR.

A ricer is a Civic DX with a 1.5L SOHC motor with a picnic table for a rear wing and a milo tin for an exhaust, not a twin turbocharged 6 cylinder that produces a minimum of 280hp and can be worked to inexcess of 800hp and still be a daily driver or taken to full race tune and produce inexcess of 2000hp!!

You certainly wouldn't know what a ricer is from your statement of calling a Supra a ricer car.

Don't forget, stickers add 50 more HP!

Supra ricer, huh your (censored) is a ricer. Dont make useless threads if you dont know the term. Cars in gt5 can hardly be riced out, not enough visual customization. Period.

Assuming he kept the stock wing on the Supra, I think the term he's looking for is 'sleeper', but if it isn't, then I'd have to agree with all the others and say that a Supra capable of 700+hp is hardly a ricer.

I'm not certain about this, but wasn't the term "ricer" coined because the cars were basically grocery go getters? Cheap and easy to modify and make it go fast...well for a street car anyway. Then it started to include all manner or ridiculous things like neon lights in the undercarriage, excessively noisy blow off valves, obnoxious spoilers and wings that had no other function that to look "cool".

Sorry no cars like that in GT, but NFS Underground has a boatload of cars that can fit that criteria. Soon as they add a paint shop, then we might be able to see something close to the loud and obnoxious colors of Fast and Furious generation of drivers, along with some impressive art.

i got 2 spoon engines a motec system exhaust and a stand alone fuel management system in my bright lime green Eclipse on GT5, it also has over night parts from japan.

Hey! It's Paul Walker and Vin Diesel and the rest of the Fast and the Furious Crew!!

And to the original poster: This is a epic fail dude. :grumpy:👎

The Supra is not a ricer, I'll tell you what's a true ricer:

A Honda Civic EG6 or a crappy EK9 aka "TypeRSiVTEC" with a TwinB13 or B15 engine with ROTA technology. A coffee can "exaust" with a faulty wiring system connected to the utlimate part.... The 1000hp air filter from autozone , A fugly and obnoxious  :yuck: bodykit which adds 500hp with "pimpin" rims, home brew aka cut suspension springs, a paint job which consists of primer or matte .

That's a ricer and there's 🤬 enconboxes from the US and Europe as well.

So don't be calling all Japanese cars rice, cause they're not all part of this group and this is why wars get started. And dumb 🤬 inbreeds with ugly rustangs and horrid Camaros and morons with HUGE rims put on cars to make them "pimp" and be a "SUV" which they are not thinking that they are better!

People who rice, people who beat up cars and think it's fast with some rust, and people with 50 inch rims on their cars are complete sh:censored: inbreed monkeys that ruin the show scene.

There's good looking show cars out there, but the ones I mentioned above aren't real show, so watch what you say before you post thanks. :)

the term ricer came from rice burner which was a reference to all modified japanese cars.

Huh, brigt colors, many of my japanese cars are orange and lime green, my lime green gt-r and supra. But that hasnt got anything to do woth fast and furious, i jusl like those colors, and for your information many of these customized cars existet way before they made the movie fast and furious.

Sohvakettu
Some pent up frustration. :D

Plus with a little bit of comicial points add also. Glad you found it funny, cause after I posted it and read it again, I had to ROFL! :D

And also everyone, I have found more info on the Fast and the Furious people, majority of them are car enthusists themselves also and love to race on tracks and collect them too.

I wonder if they play the GT and FM series also with NFS? :D

A Micra 12SR with a Huge Wing and Channel Tunnel sized exhaust which guarantees hearing damage or your money back!!!

The Supra is not a ricer.

Just cause some MKIV were twin turbo and put out a decent amount of HP from the factory doesn't exclude all of them from falling in the ricer category. There are plenty of N/A MKIV's with horrible body kits and coffee can exhausts.

I have a Micra 12SR fully modded that is only two seconds slower around the Top Gear Test Track than my stock R35 Spec V. That's not Rice.
I always thought rice stood for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. All the bodykits and big wheels but no actual power improvements to back it up.
The opposite of rice would be a sleeper. The guy in my street with the blue RX2 Capella that has grandma spec venetians and chrome hubcaps but runs a mean 13B turbo...
