What is the BEST video game Magazine?

I want to know what's your favorite gaming magazine and why. I'm trying to subscribe to one of them but I can't decide. thanks!

The "official" magazines are always biased so other than them, Game Informer is #1 and GMR is #2.

I'm from over the pond but I'm sure the official PS 2 U.S mag is in the same region of quality as what we have in Blighty. They seem to cover more about the games and have earlier scoops on games aswell.

I can only look at a single issue if I go to a Magazine stand. I wanted to know from people that reads them every month. get it? I don't care for information about other consoles, that's why I posted it here.

PSM is a different magazine and it's 100% Independent. They are two completely different magazines. Second, If you read PSM why did you vote for the Official Playstation Magazine? hummm... why wouldn't you read the one you like the most?

I never heard of a PSM 100% Independant Magazine. Out of all the book stores, wal-marts, drug stores i've been to. I've never seen a PSM 100%. I've seen only a few you listed. Areas might matter.

Noobs can be really stupid sometimes.

I think OPM is the best because it's the only one to include a DVD disc with video walkthroughs, interviews, and demos. Personally, I like PSM better. PSM used to have PSX lid and memory card stickers, but they became too cheap and stopped inserting the freebies. PSM's articles are very detailed and interesting, but PSM is notorious for factual errors and false information.

What are you complaining about? It's $12 to subscribe. What do you expect from a $12 magazine? If you don't like it, cancel the subscription.

I used to read PSW but lately i've been reading OPM and Power Unlimited.Both are very good IMO and rarely contain mistakes.Another selling point is the DVD disc that comes with the OPM.Sometimes it contains a lot of stuff but the demos aren't always from the latest games.They sometimes include demos from platinum games wich is a waste of space if you ask me.Other than that,i have no real complaints.

OPM and PSM here too. Viper Zero pretty much nailed them both accurately. If OPM got some better, more mature, writers, and added more details, they could cream PSM easily. They should also concentrate the magazine more towards games and gameplay, and less on the "entertainment industry." I don't need to hear what some "flavor-of-the-month rock star" thinks of the video game industry, and what their latest single was.

I have it. And its the best look PS2 magazine issue yet.

The best Games mag (and the only one worth buying IMHO) over here (in the Uk) is EDGE. This is a 'serious' multi platform 'gamers' mag. it's aimed at the more experienced gamer (i.e. not kids), it only reviews quality games and gives out 10/10 (perfect) scores VERY rarely, in it's entire 11 year history (it was launched in 1998) it's only given 4 (Super Mario 64, GT1, Zelda 64 & Halo).
I don't know wether there is anything like an 'Adult' games mag in the states.

I've had a script for OPM for four years now. I've never read any others, but I am hooked. It's fine to read someone elses ideas about a game (or in this case a mag) but with the DVD in every issue, you get to try out the games before you buy them.

Funny thing is I would have never got it if I wasn't sick and my wife went and got me the mag. Been reading it since.

I've been buying UK's PlayStation World since issue 11 (issue 55 comes out here this week) and they are spot on in their reviews 99.9% of the time (i doubted them once and regretted it).
