What is the fastest race/rally car for the 550pp around "The Ring"?

Hi, I just wonder:
1. For the same pp (i.e. 550pp), a road car will be faster or a race car will be faster?

2. As subject, which is the fastest 550pp race car for "the Ring"?
(Just wonder any race car can out take the LFA, GTR & R8 in the Ring)

Road car will be faster down the straights, race car faster round corners, I would go for something inbetween like the amuse s2000 gt1 or mines skyline r34
 
At 550 I would take a road car - it will generally put down faster lap times. Once you get into 600+ then start thinking about race.
 
I heard the M3 GTR is a good contender, and it is classified as a Road Car, so Road Cars take the 550PP crown.

They seems quite fast.
 
550 PP is usually dominated by street cars. the 458 handles good, but it's really gutless on the straights. I would recommend an older RX-7. I have an RX-7 type RZ '00 that does pretty damn good against things like the NSX or other top contenders. A good race car that you can use would be that Alfa Romeo touring car... the 155 v6 TI (I think). It handles excellent and it just shoots out of the gate. top end is a bit lacking, but the corners are where you get the lead. get the tail out by about 10 seconds by the back straight and you should be fine. I've seen corvettes choked out this low and they do good considering they can't breath.
