What is the first thing you do when..

I buy all the major upgrades for it and probably forget about it because i have boat loads of money and nothing to do with it.

Usually a test drive around Laguna Seca, Midfield, or Apricot Hill, then an oil change.

When I first buy an awesome car, I give it an oil change, then tune it to the max, then go to Machine Test, change the gears to my liking, then see how fast it can go on the Test Course.

Why? Most cars handle quite nicely in stock configuration... in fact, some cars are ruined by adding anything to them (the ZZII in particular).

I find that adding more power to any race car for the most part upsets their handling, as it induces too much wheelspin into the car and I'm thinking that the majority of the car's chassis weren't designed with more power in mind. Plus without adding the more power, I can consistently turn in lap times around the same number; not necessarily faster laps, but laps that are much more consistent.

But when I do get a new car, the first thing I do is change the oil.

I don't get new cars anymore, and that's a fact...:dopey: :D

I take it to Blue Coast for a test drive . If it handles well there, it will handle well everywhere.:D

I hope you are talking of Monaco, and if you are . . . that's definitely true. The same pretty much goes for Laguna Seca too.

Yeah, the corkscrew can sort the real cars from the powerless ones...:D

i sit and gaze at its utter brilliance while it sits in my garage... asking my gf what she thinks of it... and looking at the gleam work its way across the sexy smoothness of the body...

I go to my garage then go to the car and select "get in" :p

Cano

then i take it to laguna seca, test it stock... if I like it enough, I leave it alone and go win another so I can tune it to the bejeebers.

the corkscrew is actually quite easy. change down to the sugested gear then coast to the crest which is only a few meters. change down a gear (usually 3rd in most cars) and floor it down thru the corkscrew.

the only problem i ever have is (on very rare occassions) where i brake too late and over-shoot the corner. :)
