Mine is just the first four letters of my last name and the first four letters of my wife's maiden name. It was our email from a while ago and it just sorta stuck. I use it for everything now.

But I'm guessing some have more interesting backgrounds than that.

Hey milefile, you know, under your name how it sais no comment... how doy ou put that, do you have to have a certain amount of posts? Because I already have a custom avatar!

askia was suposed be my actual name when i was born, yet at the last second my mom liked the name Ian better so now my name is Ian instead of askia. 47 is my favorite number.

I think you need 1000 posts but it may have been changed for GTP5 to less.

Well Magic comes from many different things. I am from the Orlando area, which is home of the Magic, and has been known as the city of Magic. On top of that, I was in a Drum and Bugle Corps named Magic of Orlando, and was working for Disney at the time, a place that is "Magicful," and they happened to sponser the Drum and Bugle Corps I was with. So Magic seemed to work.

Now the 069... Back in high school me and my friends used to watch Bond movies "007" all the time. But we were preverted, and came up with the secert agent number "069." My best friend in high school sign on used to be "Wonder069." A play off of my screen name. I have had the name since like 1994. I have decided lots of people know me by it, so I decided to keep it.

I have a more mature screen name now a days, for business and school use. Magic069, doesn't seem like a good name to put on a resume.

So there you have it!

Crap. I misspelled "meaning" in the thread title. Is there a way to correct that?

Nope. :)

My screen name is an ancient mystery. Only my mother has figured out its true meaning. :)

Der Alta is a very rough german to english translation of a nickname I was labelled with back in my BMX days. My last name was constantly being butchered by announcers and others (still is) which gave rise to the nickname "oldman".

A German friend in my first year of college wasn't great at english, and in the midst of getting pleasently hammered one firday night began calling me Der Alta as he under stood it as "the old man" instead of "oldman"

It became my internet name, and was on my paintball Jersey. So nearly 13 years later, it's still here.

I made EBO as a play off of my friend's tag(OBE) and off of his fav band Evo. ebo in latin also means "I go out", but that has nothing to do with it. The #1 just looks nice, and thats what I wish to be, but know I can't be.

Actually, Klos, you've got one of the most original and imaginative names I've seen in a long time.

Right on, Down with the Mouse. Anyways, A long long long long time ago, before the rain before the snow lived a car lived a car I know lived a freaky car - with a 13b in it. Perfect sleeper, the only way you could tell the car was fast, was by the blow off valve. Everything else was kept stock including the wheels. Car was dropped about an inch. On to the story, The car has been recently destoryed so I actually think it is time to change the screen name then. That is my screen name. I would like to thank the Red Hot Chili Peppers for letting me start off the story by plagerizing one of their songs!

It still doesn't mean anything. I'm not claustrophobic.

Being claustrophobic is better than being an old man though, right?

I think it's a nifty screen name. Certainly unique.

I think it's nifty, too. And I am claustrophobic.

For the Record, I'm Claustrophobic, Arachnophobic and Acrophobic.

Thanks for pointing that I'm old, Klos. When you finally turn 21, I'll buy you a beer.

Red Eye Racer = The best way to describe my alternate (internet) personality. I love the intensity and fury during a competition that this game brings. I thrive on the anger thats created when I can't get that last .050,......... and occassionally I'm just pie eye'd

MazKid.

First sylable(sp?) of Mazda, and I'm a kid.
I use it everywhere humanly possible, even as an alias at school when needed(my history teacher posts grades on the door, so you have to come up with a nick name, and I used MazKid, I've also used it on serveys where we weren't supposed to use our names or anything, cause I like having people know that I hate school and I usually write some reasons on the survey).
It's universal...

Back when i used to watch WWE, Rob Van Dam was one of my favorite wrestlers. His intials were RVD *the first part*. Then i made up the nut374 part.;)
