What is the most redneck car in GT5?

Which makes me think, if you are planning on doing up a redneck ride....

You should only buy engine mods. Put comfort hard tires on, set the brake bias to all the way to the rear, turn off all the assists and ABS etc. The car should really move out, but it shouldnt be able to turn, brake, or otherwise do anything that even resembles normal operation.

If you go for the truck, you will have to buy the height adjustable susp. so you can "give it a lift kit!!"

The dodge ram by far is the most redneck. I bought one in gt5, fully tuned it, raised the suspension up all the way, and drive from roof view so it feels like i am a tower!!!! also the car is in blue!!! and should i mention... i added so much wheight to it that since i have Racing soft tires i can ram and plow through anything!!!! THATS WHY ITS CALLED THE " DODGE RAM ". Btw go to the beach and look at the type of people who drive those towering dodge ram's... lol 👍

No car is "redneck". It's the ridiculous and cheesy things done to the car that makes it redneck. I have a 97 Camaro. If that somehow makes me a "redneck" then I shudder to think of what most of the people posting must be in comparison, because at least I can spell simple words and know the difference between "your" and "you're".

Since when does redneck = Chevy lover? Plenty of rednecks around these parts, and I'm pretty sure more than one has been killed for suggesting that Chevy ever did anything better than Ford to another one on the wrong day. Plenty of Dodge love too. Just don't let them near a furrin car.

On Camaros, yeah pretty much any old beat up one kinda screams redneck(no more so than a Mustang), but in good condition they're perfectly fine cars. The IROC might say "80s" but not so much redneck. I agree with CDJW on it: a redneck-mobile really needs things like stupid mods, mismatched wheels, some bondo and lots of stickers - 3s, 24s, 88s among them if possible.

BTW, as I said, plenty of 'necks around me, some drive camaros or 'stangs, plenty drive sedans but the overwhelming majority drive trucks. Quite a few mullets too, but I don't think I've ever driven past a mullet in a Camaro.

My choice has to be a jacked-up Ram. Might be new but it's one rednecks would love to have, unlike the other trucks.

Correction, Joe Dirt drove a '69 Dodge Charger Daytona. The car in GT5 is a '70 Plymouth Superbird, based off a '70 Roadrunner. Similar cars, but also very different.

I just don't get why people are calling CLASSIC Muscle Cars, redneck cars. Sure there are some of them, like in Joe Dirt, where they have turned them into a redneck ride. However, in their stock beauty, like in GT5, they are far from a redneck ride.

Also, there are all different kinds of "redneck". It is not where you live, how much money you have, or even what kind of car you drive. It has to do with certain ways people act and certain ways people do things. I would say that at least 75% of American (and probably other Countries) have a little bit of redneck blood in them.

A mid 80's Chevy Malibu is the top Redneck vehicle around here. It has the same body as the Buick GNX but is definitely NOT the same car. Of the cars in the game I'd say the IROC Z or pickup truck. They're about equal.

To me it's the ultimate expression of overconsumption. I can understand you buy this car if you move elephants or bulldozers for a living. But if you don't, it's just a rediculous car.
I see em every now and then here in Europe, but it's like watching a really really fat girl trying to do ballet. Or watching a blimp trying to manouvre.
That car just doesn't have a place over here, and the people driving it really are a 'certain kind' of people. (again, over here in Europe I mean)...

With 'certain kind' I don't mean better or worse, I mean it like golfers are a certain kind of people or managers are a certain kind of people.
Laramie drivers, to me over here in Europe, are the ultimate rednecks.

I guess I don't see what's redneck about the Ram. It's just a practical work vehicle. It's well engineered. I don't see why any yankee business owner would be averse to owning one. Hell, Bruce Willis drove one in Die Hard 3 in the upstate New York area. It's just not very redneck to me.

Maybe that chevy sport truck? Some goofballs in the country like to pretend their trucks are sports cars... that's worse than just having a conventional work truck.

But I gotta go with the Camaro as the redneck ride. Every trailer home has got to have that Iroc on cinderblocks in the back. That's much more culturally special than the Ram.

My point is that for something to be redneck, perhaps it should go out of its way. There should be some factor that adds up better because a redneck owns it. I wouldn't say any old Honda is a 'ricer'. I'd say one with a huge muffler and counterproductive wing is.

No way! I actually just got back from a Buick car show and there were plenty of Grand Nationals and T-Types there and their owners are very respectable people. They know they have excellent-running cars and take very good care of them.
