Automatic transmissions are more durable and can handle more torqe. They're also faster under certain curcumstances.
Usually manual transmissions last longer than automatics, and unless the auto is a DSG or F1 or SMG transmission kind of thing, it'll be slower, and sap power too.

Ok if you say so. Tell me which poor family can afford a land rover?

Ladas are what people use to commute in countries that dont have train or bus services. Ladas are the backbone of developing countries.

Toyota pickups are also important for hauling stuff to markets ect and building material but belive ladas play a major role in getting people where they need to get.

That's the point they can't. It's the Landrovers that are needed to deliver medical supplies and essential transport. Something Ladas aren't too good at.

Um No. Most developing countries work on a agricultural basis. Hence they don't really 'commute'. Maybe countries that have have a developing inner city industry, but then bikes are more common again.

So you're telling me that the people can afford to buy and run a pickup and a Lada? You can fit half a dozen people atleast in the back of a pickup.

Wheres your proof evidence personal experience.?

1.In some countries ladas are the most common vehicle on the roads.
2. Third wold countries do realy heavily on agricultural but I mean developing countries such as those in the west indies india china etc etc
3.Bikes are common in some developing countries but not all.Popular in china but not say jamaica.
4. People in developing countries share and bartar. Most families will only have one form of transportation most suitable to them.

If people travel over long distances to commute they will get a lada if they are farmers they will get a pick up.

5. Most developing countries who do require to cart around medical goods etc in a crisis will not use landrovers. Toyotas are much more common as theyre cheaper to run and get parts for. But thats beside the point your thinking of countries in which the people cant feed themselves and require handouts. Im talking of developing countries that arent rich but arent in poverty neither. Ladas play an important role for developing countries. They are amazingly cheap to buy and run and pretty hard wearing.

Transits = Backbone of britain
Ladas and landcruisers = backbone of developing countries.

Lots of EU countries are also filled with ladas with veryone from the taximan to the police force using ladas.

Ok.

Now what the hell is a Lada. :odd:
