The question had a bit of rhetoricalness sprinkled in it. So really I agree with Shem's post.
 
To answer the thread title; I think it's, to get kids, and die. Though, I don't know.
 
Purpose of Life? I asked myself this question before too, and I came up with this answer but nothing else.
To live happy and enjoy it while it lasts :p

Thank you, brought it up not just to say that but to see what are people's views on the subject. I've been a little lost lately so I'm trying to see what people have to say regarding life. Surely there must be some change after 10 years.

I was expecting a thread like this to be as popular as the God Thread, but it seems not.
 
I think the purpose of life is to try to achieve your potential and to have as much fun along the way as possible. You never can know when the journey will end, but at the same time you never know how long it can go for... so always plan for a long life, but enjoy the time you have in case it ends.... err... early...

Thats what i try to do.

I have long term goals, but at the same time I try to thoroughly enjoy the present without sacrificing the long term.... just in case.
 
I don't think we have a set purpose. Nature intended for us to have sex and to multiply.

Everything else that has come about through evolution is just a massive bonus for the human race. We can appreciate things that most other living things cannot. So I guess the purpose of life is to really appreciate that you are here at all.

Live to help others when you can, to raise chidren and teach them all you know, save them time, and try to die as happy as you can :)

Well most species purpose of life is to reproduce so I would say it would be the same for us.

For me, the purpose is enjoying it while it lasts and only that. No reproduction to me. :D
 
Already been stated previously, our only actual purpose is to reproduce. That's it. Have sex, keep humans from going extinct. End of story. The end. Bye bye!

Point is to be happy. If you're not happy, you're doing it wrong.
