Damn . You guys love hijacking threads eh ? Please stop it ! :irked:

Back on topic :D Flerbizky , I like the GT40 too , but it's not one of those cars which I race on track all the time in GT3 . Its good for a nice cruise around a track , IMO , but the car's handling seems to bother me a lil . Just a thought .

We're not hi-jacking anything :D

And you're right.. The handling of the GT40 is nothing short of interesting... It can't turn under power. Can't trailbrake.. It can go straight and it can Slide and it looks the dogs ballz.. That and the sound.. The throaty spitting roar of the V8 passing by the camera in replay is worth every penny spend on GT3.... Again - IMHO....

I agree 100% . The handling isn't that good , but the car is still pretty much driveable for me .

:D Yep . The car sounds pretty good , very power-ish sound :D GT40 is one of those cars ( other than the 787B and Speed 12 ) which I drive for the sake of watching a good race replay at the end :)

Of course it is driveable.. As long as you keep it's little quirks in mind when approaching corners

Exactly... But unfortunately I have neither of the other 2 yet so I can't say if they look as cool in the replay :D

I did the TVR Speed 6 series in Pro to get the Speed 12 . Its a five race series exclusive to the Speed 6 . Oh yeah , the Speed 12 is a pretty good car , nice looks , killer performance IMO , its good .

And the 787B ( you can win it from the 'Like the Wind' race in Pro or get 75% game progress ) is a legend :) One of the best cars I've driven in the game , good speed and handling. I used to hate this car , but after some drving , getting to know the car by heart :D , I say , I love it !

Sounds like I need to do Like the Wind when I get home :D (this is, of course, a poor excuse for being at 42.8% :mischievous: )

Oh yeah , another thing - the 'Like the Wing' oops , I mean 'Like the Wind' :D is a 20 lap race around the Test Course ( sleepy ... ) I used the Camaro race car for it , what car do you plan on using ? Suggest you check out the Write-Ups section , they might have some useful information on the race . Good luck :)

Like the ChickenWing :D If it's 20 laps on the test course, I think I'm gonna raise the gearing on my 1.8Kbhp Escudo and use a rubberband.. Will that work on the test course ? :mischievous:

/F

Using the Escudo is a good idea . Driving 20 laps around this stupid Test Course can get boring REAL fast .

Oh yeah , do you mean you wanna use the rubberband trick on the Escudo ? I don't think it'll work ... as far as I know , this trick only works on the Super Speedway . Never tried it myself , but I suggest you go through the 20 lap race .

I've done the rubberbandtrick(tm) 7 times on the SS, so I think I might give it a shot on the test course :D I'll post the result either later 2 day or tomorrow..

And if it doesn't work, I'll just have to put it back on track every once in a while :mischievous:

/F

Well - I think the rubberbandtrick(tm) might work with this.. I geared the Escudo a bit low (topped out at 419) but even when riding the rails it wouldn't drop below 380. So I think.. repeat - I think, that geared to 44 overall and a bit of fiddling with the steering that th rubberbandtrick(tm) might very well work..

Guess I'll try again... (otherwise it's 30 minutes well spent... NOT  )

The best car I own is probably the 787B, but I've never driven it.

The best car I've driven is my Viper Oreca, or my Raybrig NSX, both stock. The RX-7LM is nice, too, but I didn't feel so much at home in it as I did in the Viper LM.

my best car rite now is the Mine's Skyline R34. it seems to be a lot easier to drift than the other R34s for some reason, which iwould like to find out, but it's a pretty nice car overall if yu noe how to drift/drive it correctly

the best car in my garage is my Diablo :D i mite drive it when i get bored drifting, which i hope is not soon

i did like the wind last nite in a toyota gt1 race car

all u do is put the gt1 on the wheelies settings, wait till its at full speed or during a wheelie on the first straight (pause it), take ur elastic band wrap it round so it goes round the back of the ds2 and comes round the front directly over the x button then i got one of those little cell batteries and put it between the elastic band and the x button then put the pad down on a cushion (to stop it falling off of table or whatever) then sit and watch the laps rack up. i say sit and watch it cos the other cars will get in ur way at 1 point or another and you will go into a spin if you hit a supra up the arse at 2000kph!!!  ;) :mischievous: :mischievous:

my best cars is poly 001, suzuki escudo pikes peak ver, and my viper GTS-R Concept. :P i have over 60 cars in my garage and its hard to narrow it down to these three.
