what is your latest drifting project of any kind?

Have a read through the forum - people tend to post in threads or photo galleries what their latest "projects" are.

Please stop making new threads until you've done at least this.

Now explain to our Danish and Croatian friends what "plz" means, by editing the full word into your post. You have already been told about the use of contractions and "txtspk".

And you might want to type a full word rather than just "Japanese" as you did in your last post (in a thread you actually searched out - well done). It has derogatory overtones which some find distasteful.

As for closing the thread, what does it matter if it's your last one? You don't HAVE to have threads for the sake of it - and this thread, we've already established, has no real useful purpose. If you MUST have a thread, at least make it a gallery of your drift photographs taken in Photomode. That at least would have some validity to it.

why are you so on to this guy? your weird colored post is what's annoying in this thread...

my latest project is a BMW M Coupé with stock engine (Except Drivetrain for quicker shifting). Lowered and lightened to max, with full downforce in front and none in the back. Tires, Economy it is! :P

...because the Moderators have a job to do. cookie type r has already gotten a few threads locked, so the Mods have to tell him straight what he's doing wrong and what he's doing right. They're trying to make GTP as easy to use to a range of people and professional as possible. Txt tlk isnt gd is it?

As with the thread-making, again, just making threads for the hell of it without searching clutters up forums and makes GTP harder to browse.

Could you at least try and give Famine a little respect for what he's doing?

why are you so on to this guy?

Probably because he's creating new threads like no tomorrow, any one of which could be replaced by a search, and using contracted slang English in his posts. Both of these things are against the AUP.

Then again, I'm not "on to" him. I'm advising him that parts of his posts breach the AUP, which parts they are and how to amend them so that they aren't. You can take that as negative if you want, though cookie's own response seems to indicate that he doesn't. Either way, it's not your problem but mine - I received the report.

Deal with it. Better yet, check the AUP to see if "weird colored" posts break any rules and then deal with it.

The only reason this thread is still open is to allow cookie to amend his own post, rather than have me do it for him. That way he knows what the mistake was and can learn not to do it in the future - behind the txtspk, he appears to be relatively intelligent (and that is, of course, the problem with txtspk - it makes the user look like an idiot, no matter how smart they are).

Well i'm glad there are people cleaning up here, but it is a little annoying that a lot of threads out there are locked with the comment "try searching" (not this one though)... very often the user have tried searching but for the wrong words, a link to the thread that is similar would be more polite... i guess

this thread will probably be closed very soon so please link to some similar pages...

and a personal thought: I would rather have 100 similar threads than one thread with 100 pages...

over and out, sorry

Then you have no idea what it takes to efficiently run a large forum community.

I know that is your personal opinion but understand this, you have to be organized in some way right?. If you have 100 similar threads then just one thread with a 100 pages, then you have to keep on searching for that post that you put in a Single Thread. For example, the Drift Settings Depot, people ask for them and post about them. But we have one thread so people don't have to look all over the place for that single post that they found. What if that original person posted in all those single threads, telling other users that there is a main thread for that kind of stuff? You would have to search through the multiple threads while you just have one thread to search within it. The also fact that creating threads waste space and I know how much "they " hate that. This is an IMO.( if you don't understand...I'll reread it because of my grammar problems ).

The biggest forum i've ever ran is 2 members, me and one more to chat when we were Offline on other communities... So I wouldn't say I have any experience at all.

Didn't find any problem with your grammar :) I'm totally with you on that, when it comes to Car Settings, Tips & Tricks and things like that you're absolutely right. But this thread is very personal. When I'm laid back and do a light browse of GTPlanet I'm always looking for threads with less posts, because that's where you can actually get into the thread (like this one) instead of being a post nr 236 that no one cares about. Of course i wouldn't care if it was a settings post because i would get what i was searching for anyway.

But as the post above says, I don't know anything about running forums. I just know what I see when I Visit yours...

And since this topic really isn't to great and we haven't even talked about it in a while...
