What is your "test track"?

Mostly Tsukuba but I also use Grand Valley and Trail Mountain although this is mainly in faster cars.

Nürburgring Nordschleife, and actually thought it would be most people's favourite but I've recently asked a couple of friends and was surprised to learn that they prefer to test cars out on Suzuka.

Well your friends are crazy, then :). I'll take Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Was and always will be Deep Forest, the elevation changes are crazy for such a small track.

TRIAL MOUNTAIN is my Official Test Track , Ever since GT3. I have been round it in GT4 in 1:04s in the PD 04'

Trial mountain for actual tuning. Top gear track to get comparisons, its a simple track and hard to mess up so times are very consistent.

Top Gear Test Track for fast comparisons, Suzuka / Trial Mountain to find the right set up, and Nurburgring, but I usually get here after testing the car on the other tracks I mentioned.

Nurburgring and Autumn Ring. I'm not really sure why I use Autumn Ring as much as I do, there are much better tracks for testing a car but for some reason I really like Autumn Ring, I find it very fun to drive around.

Straight to the Nordschleife for anything other than a race-tuned car - those go to HSR then on to Suzuka.

The ring has pretty much everything a car might encounter, corner-wise. I get a good feel for strengths/weaknesses by doing a couple of laps there.

Top Gear Test Track.

I take my bone stock supercars with sports hard tires and see how they all stack up against each other. From my memory the order right now is:

1. Bugatti Veyron
2. Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV
3. Nissan GT-R Spec V
4. McLaren F1
5. Audi R8 5.2 FSI
6. Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
7. Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
8. Lexus LFA
9. Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
10. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Maybe the SLS and LFA are switched, can't remember.

Has always been Laguna Seca, with Gran Turismo, rFactor and iRacing; I have more seat time at this track than any three other tracks combined, so familiarity and consistency on hitting marks (even though there are differences between the three) lends itself to accurate testing.

The 'ring is definitely too long to test I think. I have always used Grand Valley as it has a lot of different corners including a couple long, constant radius ones which really give a good idea of car handling. Cape Ring is my new favorite for the variety it offers and I can't forget the classic Suzuka, the driver's circuit. It has a bunch of very fun sequences of corners: the esses (duh), Degner, and 130R being favorites.

I also have this Track Editor course I use for RM, SuperGT, LMP, etc. testing as it is very quick.

Another vote for Trial Mountain. I believe it's because I'm most familiar with that track.

High speed ring, easy but I find it so familiar that every new car I get or tune passes by HSR:sly:

Mine used to be the Infineon Raceway, turns six and seven used to remind me a bit of the follow through and hammerhead on the Top Gear test track, so I used to test everything there. Quite sad it's gone but I've got the real thing now :)

Top speed testing it is has to be Le Sarthe (no chicanes)

For the whole full bang-test the car till the wheels fall off i put them on the ring

When i unlock Top Gear, i will use that for lap times

Some cars will not hit their top speed on sarthe. IMO, SSR7 is the best top-speed test.

Sarthe is great for a practical top-speed test because I'm sure people won't run a lot of races on SSR7 :D
