Im curious on what kind of steering wheel do you have?

I currently have both the Logitech Driving Force and I just got the Logitech GT Force Pro.

I've tried the InterAct V3 FX steering wheel and had found it to be the worst piece of s*** I'd ever laid my hands on. The thing was impossible to tune and to get working properly at any given time. Had tried it both on PS1 and PS2.

I'm now using the MadCatz MC2 steering wheel (and pedals, of course) and have found it a bit awkward to set up properly, but now that it is, there's just no way that I can even think of playing without it again. I've set up the pedals on a board to be used at the proper angle, wich board I place in a crack within my Lazy-boy chair (when slghtly opened and tilted) !!  There's not much better unless you're willing to dish out more bucks for a racing seat along with whatever's needed to make for a simulation tub :p

The settings stay within your saves, but the steering calibration does need to be done every time you reconnect it to the PS2, but hey.... it's a 5 seconds affair worth living with!!!;)

My very first steering wheel was a Madcatz, and I bought the peice of **** for $50 for the PS1. I tell you that thing sucked.

Don't know what it does with the PS1 (no longer have it), but the model I have now (read above your post) is a real dream!!! I'm willing to help anyone with calibrations for it's use on a PS2.:)

I have 2. 1st The Thrustmaster Ferrari challenge wheel. 2nd The Mad Catz MC2

Ferrari Challenge Wheel.

The Mad Catz MC2. This is the only one I use now.

Seems to be the same model as mine, but mine's red instead of grey:p

Exoticar. Do you have the universal MC2? The one that fits into a PS2, X Box and PC.

Yup!!! That's the one!!! Also nice to actually see how much presure I'm applying on the gas pedal. :) Now if I could only have one for the brake pedal also....... hummmm ...:p

Are you having trouble with the gas pedal too? Sometimes when I put it right to the floor The LED's only go to the end of the green and on GT3 you can see that the acceleration is slower than it should be.

Nope!! no problem whatsoever thus far, and I've been beating it ... humm ... using it for over 2 harduous weeks so far.

I think mine was used as a display one in the shop where everybody could try it out. eg the gear stick sometimes misses the shift on the downshift and the pedal problem.

I would have returned it if I were you and it had happened right away or within a few days from purchase (hell, I still have the box from mine). In such things, always buy a completly closed and sealed box is preferable.

I know how you feel about the V3 Exoticar. My friend just gave me one he used for his now broken PS1, and it is afwul. The wheel is VERY sensitive to movement, and the steering column is too wide to put between the legs comfortably for more than 10min, making the lap attachment useless. And the pedals suck, they can lift up into the air, and my socks get caught frequently in the pedals. I'm probably gonna sell it if my friend doesn't want it back, and see if I can get a GT Driving Force Pro.

Yeah. I've got a 1 year warranty on it. The box was closed. But it does look like it's been opened before though.

Oh EvO. You can change the sensitivity by using the Calibrate button

My Wheels are :
Thrustmaster Force Feedback
Red Momo Force
Driving Force Pro
a modified Logitech GT Force

Digital edge / BRD Sim – Racer Wheel
Lotus Steering Wheel

And a not finished Momo modify

I had a Mad Catz for the PS (that was nice because it had a shift nob). Then the PS2 came out and I had to get a new wheel, the Logitech Driving Force. Does the old wheels still work on the new PS2?
