There's a sign in a language I'm trying to identify. I figured to ask here first. Anybody know what language that is? Hebrew? And what does it say? Sorry it's so small.

It's either Arabic or Persian. Can't understand what it says though I'm afraid, but I'm sure someone here can.

Oh, and if somebody can point me to a free online reverse phone number look up website I'd appreciate it. They used to be free, but I can't find one. I haven't used one in years. So, there seems to be a lot a crap out there, these days.

I use the whitepages website. It works sometimes, but a lot of times, it doesn't.

Edit: This.

Yeah, I tried that one already. Didn't work. They want either money or my cell phone number. They're not getting either.

Looks like the day of free reverse phone searching is over.

Could be Tibetan, their language scrip is very similar to that written freehand, but there's one character there on the end/ start of the first line that makes me sure it's Arabic because I've seen it on kebab shops where they sell Halal meat.

OK. Thanks for the info. :)

We've got a language line poster here at work and it lists loads of languages, with text written in that language, and your sign looks like the Arabic writing. The other similar looking ones are Kurdish and Farsi (Persian) but I would go with the Arabic.

The first word that I could make out is translated into "shave" or "shaving", second word is a name "Abu Samir". I think this might be a barbershop owned by someone named Abu Samir.. :dunce:

Good to know. I don't suppose you know what it says? No worries, I'll figure it out.

Thanks for the help. :)

Whoa! Tons of info I needed!!! Thanks so much! 👍

The top line doesn't look like any Farsi I've seen but the bottom line looks similar, but could just as easily be Arabic.

Looks like it was solved anyway, never mind!
