What makes your car special?

What makes a car stand out of the crowd of all the others? What do you do to it to make it yours: unique?

I usually like to paint my cars white, add a naked carbon hood, a spoiler and black rims.

99% of my cars are White.
2 of my Saleens, IMO, look really amazing - ones Matte Black with Black, 5-spoke, Wheels, the other is Crystal White with White, 16-spoke, wheels.



And I can only imagine what it's like, cruising up the Cote hill doing 70; and having one of those screaming past you at 170.

In a game with limited customisation and restricted paint system, none of my cars are 'unique'. I can guarantee at least one other person has the colour scheme that any one of my cars has =/

So true. Sadly, with this game, people can only turn their cars into something truly diferent by hacking.

As for my car, a RX-8, I like to use what I think it is a rarely used colour, the Combination B Excellent Green Mica of the MX-5, and I just like to keep it with it's stock body parts and rims. That, since most peolpe mod at least one body part, I believe it makes my car more unique.

Anything I do to it. Any paint, wheels, upgrades, where I drive it, everything. Over time, the car just starts to feel like a second home to you, like it's unique. Even if it's a fake car on the PS3.

As that one guy once said, a car is just a car until its unique.

Depends(so many factors) what cars are being used in a room. If they're all the same car, it comes down to presentation. If they're all the same colour, maybe it's how the car is tuned that makes it unique. I'd like to feel my cars are unique because I built them with my virtual hands. *sniff sniff*

I turn the ABS off... That alone filters 99% of players away.
Slap on some of the Maziora Seyfert Paint - That I guess will filtered another 99% of people away (Maybe way more - as there are thousands of paint shades)
Bolt on some funky wheels And then paint them Orange (Or I could upholste them in the skins of the domesticated Essex Girl.) - I guess painting wheels Orange may be a bit more common . maybe 1 in 25? (I guess most will not alter wheels - And those that do will painted Black or White or Gold - or chrome ) - Maybe 1 in 100 is fair...
So whats that 1 in 1,000,000

Then the Brake Bias
- I run 3/2
Now I stumbled on this number but of the ABS0 folks they seem to run 3/1 or 4/1
Dunno about this - maybe of the cars that are left only 10% would run my brake bias...

Then I add my weight - are rather hefty 220 of your earth pounds - That has to weed a bit more uniqueness to my cars - But maybe some big chunky players also add their weight... but I would guess that 95% of people weigh less than me, and 4% of people weigh more.

So what is that...1,000,000,000 : 1

And then I bolt on Horn 98 - The little Italian "Ciao Baby!" horn... How many people add horns... how many pick that flavour of Lamborghini horn? Not many... 1 in 100 maybe?

But now I have revealed this, I guess at least one OCD will copy it now...

And the 'editing' route is the one I have chosen.

After 3+ years of GT and collecting 1600+ cars, I had to go down this road to keep the game fresh.

I'm not talking about a Fiat 500 with 2,874,652hp, i'm talking about usable 'Practical Hacks' with a touch of OEM.

If you love cars and / or being unique, build some hybrids.
The consequences will not be dire 👍

I have a Ford GT with TwinCharger very rare I think, even in the hybrid crowd. Also many Euro sports car with Twin Turbo kit (hybrid ) - working turbo sounds + boost gauge.

I don't see how NOT BEING DIFFERENT is special.
I mod cars to be special. Engine swaps, widebody, drivetrain swaps, etc. I don't see why people look down on it so much.. It's on of the main "wishlist" items on people GT6 features. PD can never please everyone.

Sorry to burst your uniqueness bubble but I've done all of that many times on many cars. That was my favourite colour at one time, I used extensive ballast on most cars, mix and match horns ( I was into funky horns for about a year then settled on the tank car horn for a lot of cars), run with no ABS etc.

Perhaps there are only two of us......but I doubt it.

It is odd I make my cars Unique... by making them the same.

Crazy Brake Bias - Worth a dash - Stratos is a belter on proper tyres - glad I have the Look left and right functions on hand for when I am using my Stratos (You know, the Dark Green one with the orange wheels... I don't think I altered the horn...)

Just reading the thread I may try a new colour... Maybe Botanical Green from Jaguar.
