wow I must be the only person buying DVD's at the moment.
I think I've mentioned it before, but I rarely get new DVDs anymore. I got too many already, so I try to rent most movies.

Angel-A
Not watched this yet, but im a big Besson fan.
Luc Besson Film, eh? That reminds me, I did buy couple of DVDs:

Le Dernier Combat (The Last Battle)
- One of the first films by Luc Besson. Black & white, (almost completely)no dialogue, but I liked it enough to buy this one. I'll try to create a link to my review of this film in another thread. Edit: Here it is https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2547912&postcount=791

Kiss The Girls
- Famous thriller featuring Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman. It was five bucks, couldn't say "no". :D

Welp, most recently I've bought

Hills Have Eyes [Extended Cut]
Dog Soldiers
The Descent

and with my Manga Force

Akira
Blood: The Last Vampire
Macross Plus Eps I & II
Ghost in The Shell

Im the total opposite at the moment, as I cant seem to stop buying them at the moment, I got Taxi 3, Howel's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.

wow I must be the only person buying DVD's at the moment. Well got some more films today.

I've stopped buying DVD's now. When the PS3 comes out i'll re-start buy films in Blu-Ray format.

I was thinking of doing the same as you, but TBH the quality of disks isn't where I want them to be (yes they are better than dvd) so I will stick with the lower cost of dvd for now till the price of BD/HD-DVD comes down and Quality of disks goes up, the first films I will be getting will be the LOTR trilogy.

Got A Scanner Darkly today, not yet watched it.

Agreed, I'm currently enjoying buying DVD's for as little as £2 each.

got The Departed & The Machinist free from the bonus scheme at work. 👍

Yeah, I'm in that boat now. TV shows I'll probably still buy on DVD, since there aren't many shows released on Blu-ray yet. But for movies, it's pretty much all Blu-ray now. Last couple purchases were Superman Returns and Stargate. Both double-dips. Next up will probably be The Prestige. Not sure what will come after that, but there's a good lineup coming in May/June for Blu-ray.

I assume this thread includes discs of all sorts? Screw the formats... we're all here for the movies, right? :)

Good call. 👍 Yes, it shouldn't matter if it's on the next gen DVD format, or VHS. The point is which titles our guys are purchasing.

What should the new title be? For the music, I changed the title to "What Music did you buy?" to cover all formats. "What Movie did you get/buy?"? Any suggestions?

I would go for something like "What Movie Did You Buy?"

Can it be 'What Film Did You Buy?" for us non-Americans? ;)
I don't know, man. That sounds really strange to me. Sounds like a title for a photography related thread or something. :D Does "What Film Did You Buy?" really sound natural to you guys? If it does, I'd consider it.

I'm leaning towards just simple "What Movie Did You Buy?".

Someone likes his cartoons.....

What really got me into the Disney movies was Kingdom Hearts. I want to collect all 49 on DVD... I've got about 5 at the moment. The DVD's are expensive. :indiff: Here's the big long list.

Also this morning i decided to dig up my old Aladdin and Pinnochio VHS'es. The Lion King and 101 Dalmations got thrown out a while ago.

Well if I was talking to a friend of mine, I would ask "What film did you buy" its because "Movies" relates more to the cinema than an actual purchased DVD/BD/HD-DVD. We obviously need to consider that the world use different terms but TBH Im not too fussed :D

"What movie/film/DVD/Blu-ray/HD-DVD/VHS/Beta/Divx/XviD/Quicktime/AVI/WMV did you buy/purchase/bring home/download/acquire/steal from an old lady today?"

lol :)

I have a few Disney DVDs and they are expensive! Say you got deal on all of 49 of them, say $15 each. Add them up to see if they are worth it........ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :D

Ah, yeah, thanks.. not. :D Seriously though, Sprite sounds like he's neutral on this, but to the Americans, "What Film Did You Buy?" would sound a little weird. Anymore input? At this exact moment, I'm thinking, "What Film/Movie Did you Buy?"
