what other games??

I haven't opened the drive on my PS2 since I got it. Which may tell you something.

On the PC, I'm playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I play a bit of Gran Theft Auto III, and Silent Hill 2 (for the second time - It is pretty short)

But lately I have only been playing GT3, because i got the Logitech force feedback wheel... :D

I own three 4 PS2 games:

Madden 2001
Nascar Heat 2002
F1 2001
and GT3

I haven't played the other three in a while, but I like all of them a lot for different reasons that no one game can give. If you haven't guessed, I am into racing/sports games only....with the possible exception of MGS2 someday. :)

these are the games i play and i will tell u the ones that are the best time crisis 2 with light gun burnout zone of the enders, crazy taxi, smack down 2, red faction, kinetica, and the worst game that i would telll u to stay way from are 18 wheeler and f1 2001(the one by 989 sports not the ea version)hope that helps :burnout:

How are you finding it?

I found it such a revelation - it really added another dimension to the game. I really enjoy driving the stock cars now, especially the NSX and the Miata.

Must confess I'm been playing a fair bit of Golden Bear Challenge on my laptop.

Before you all laugh yourself stupid, I picked it up for $20 when I bought the laptop.

I've kept playing it because the game has a course editor and you can download a heap of courses over the web - and the designers take it pretty seriously, so the courses are pretty full-on representations. I've got most of the PGA Tour courses on there.

Best computer related $20 I ever spent...

Same situation, wheels reversed - price is pretty much the same (well, the PS2 wheel was $209.95Aust, and the PC Wheel was $259.95Aust with a $50Aust rebate).

Wheel works fine - just download the software from the Wingman site.

Need a gruntier PC than my trusty old Toshy lappy though...

You said it !!

I think it really is a laugh trying out all the "boring / family" cars in the game now - even the Trueno is a beautiful piece of machinery.. :D

Well i have a few games in my collection such as ...

Silent hill 2 ( not played yet )
Resident evil code:veronica (not played yet)
Gta3 (played very briefly)
Tony hawks 3 ( again very briefly)
F1 2001 [sony one] (played at first but got bored with it )

So as you can see i've spent £160 in the past few months on games that i haven't even played yet! and still i play on gt3 all the time, cos it's the best :D

I only got my PS2 a couple of months ago and have the following -

GTAIII - awesome

Madden 2002 - excellent (although I know nothing about American Football - the game is teaching me!)

Jax and Daxter - excellent (although it's really my wife's - she's playing it right now!)

Pro Evolution Soccer - awesome

GT3 (obviously) although for reasons stated in my previous post I haven't bothered playing it for a couple of weeks now

...I've also borrowed the following and have played them quite a bit -

Devil MayCry - excellent game although you'll complete it in a day

BG Dark Alliance - repetitive hack with good graphics (the barmaid has the most awesome polygonised boobs!)

Twisted Metal Black - great gameplay but the UK version is a waste of money because Sony Europe removed all the FMV

I'd recommend NEVER buying a game without trying first - too many games look good but IMHO £45 ($85) for 10 hours gameplay is a total waste of money.

I PLay all my games about the same now... I got...
ATV: Offroad furry
SSX
SSX: tricky
GT3
Tony Hawk 3
Shaun Palmers Pro Snowboarder
Top Gun:Combat Zones
NFL 2k2
Twisted Metal Black
NBA Street...

I think they are all good...

colin mcrae rally 2 and superbike 2001

I have only played the demo for colin mcrae 2, but it's rallying definately beats the gt series. It is much more realistic. There is awesome damage to be done to the car, your back windshield can be busted and flapping in the wind while you race. The physics are unbelievable. And you race actual rally stages, not laps around a track. Racing in the snow is great. one of the best parts of the game is racing with the interior view, with dash, steering wheel, roll cage, and driver all animated. it really adds alot to the feeling when you are all clostrophobic with a small range of view drifting the car at high speeds. The sounds are also great. the engine noises are realistic, the exhaust spatters and shootes flames when your revs drop. And from the inside you can here the chassis creaking and obviously being stressed.

colin mcrae 3 is in developement now for ps2 and pc. Codemasters, the developer, says the car models are going to use 16 times more polygons than the previous game. Everything is photorealistic. codemasters is a british company working closely with the racing team, so everything is sure to be perfect.

HAHAHAHAHA looooong post

anyway i listed all of those things because i hope gt maybe uses some of these ideas in upcoming games. I really hope for an accurate dash for each individual car, that would be the best.

Ummm superbike 2001 is the best motorcycle racing game ive evre seen. i have no idea why electronic arts hasnt brought it to ps2 yet, but they definately should.

doing wheelies at 170mph on a ducati is a great feeling. they have all real teams and all realworld tracks. nurburgring germany is fun.

PC: Return to Castle Wolfenstein

PS2: Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero (Suprisingly sweet game)

GTAIII is awesome too.

I have..

GT3
GTA3

I did, but I've pretty much been Tekken'ed out for the time being. All this might change with Tekken 4 (And definitely Soul Calibur 2 :D)

Right now I'm playing Final Fantasy X for my main entertainment.
For Multiplayer, I'm playing:
Time Crisis 2
Vampire Night
and most recently, Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance.

And once in a while I throw in Grand Theft Auto 3 for some mayhem. :)
