what settings do most use with controller on advanced for sensitivity?

new at this - looking for recommended advanced settings for controller - thanks

I used +7 on left analogue stick steering and triggers for throttle and brake. Here's my advice.

I found using lower sensitivity would make my steering feel sloppy. My brain to thumb co-ordination always wanted to only move my thumb a tiny amount for what steering I was expecting. Because I was super smooth, and only wanted to move my thumb the smallest amount I went for 7. I also found this gave me more lock in tighter turns at slow speed.

Play on zero. Build up some familiarity with how it feels. If you feel like you are running out of lock, or that the steering isn't doing what you want fast enough then move up. If you move up and you are zigzagging down the straight, or are spinning mid corner, drop the setting down.

There is no right or wrong. It depends on what you expecting the car to do when you are moving your thumb.

Try to be smooth with inputs, and don't keep changing sensitivity every other lap. Get a feel for each change.

I'm learning a wheel having only just moved from DS4 (I've been a pad player since GT1) so I'm doing exactly this. Make a change then run 10-15 laps. Rinse and repeat.

+4 motion steering feels perfect. Was +7 but countersteering was impossible for me. After change its alot easier to save when cars get sideways

With a wheel however you don't have to experiment with sensitivity, you leave it at 1:1, which in GTS is +7. Unless you meant steering rotation.

I meant sensitivity on the pad. I found higher sensitivity gave me better steering lock, or felt like it.

*I meant I had just changed to a wheel so I was also experimenting with settings (not sensitivity), meaning I was kinda going through the same process as the OP. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

+2, ABS weak, no TC/stability/etc.

X=shift up. square = shift down, R2 and L2 as throttle and brake

Sensitivity was more enjoyable during beta and before patch updates. I actually purchased this game knowing i can drive it on pad, but it's not the same anymore. So -2 and all the road cars feel feather light and require minimal inputs.

No change for sensitivity, triggers for acceleration and brake. I shift with the right stick up and down. What would a change in sensitivity do??

Changing sensitivity adjusts how much the controller reacts to inputs by the driver. Higher sensitivity gives more steering output with less input...basically quicker steering as you don't need to turn as far to get the same results.

Stick or motioncontroll?

Stick.
Today while lapping at Interlagos I paid attention how minimal stick movement is required for smooth driving and I don't think i used that 'precise' inputs even when playing Cod with max sensitivity :/

Fast corners are the worst, really struggling to hold smooth line while balancing in the tiny tiny area of input/no input.

I use +3 for my DS4. Some time ago I discovered those thumb grips, and they really help me turning much smoother, with the right DS4 sensitivity setting. I bought two type of it to experiment with, and ended on gluing together two pieces that gave me the right height that worked for me. I ani't sure if I will be faster with a good wheel. For sure I will be much smoother, but it ain't guaranteed I will be faster.
So for now I'm fine with the DS4 steering, but the throttle traveling (R2) on the DS4 is simply too short to be smooth and linear. I wish there was a controller, with lets say 50% more traveling distance compared to the standard DS4 R2 button, for more smoothness on the acceleration.

Does anyone have experience with those trigger extenders? I think I will give them a try, and hopefully smoother and more linear acceleration and braking.

Controller Steering Sensitivity > 0
Force Feedback Max Torque > 3
Force Feedback Sensitivity > 7

I messed around quite a bit to arrive at these settings and it really changed the game for me. I use cockpit view / motion sensor.
