Its the device used in Victorian times to hold open the foofoo valve whilst inserting a new flugelbinder :dopey:

To be honest I really don't know what it may be :indiff:

It's a contraption otherwise known as the 'Catherine Wheel', which was used in the early 50s during the staged UFO contact in the Nevada desert. It was most likely used as a pump for alien's blood when they were shot at by local people and ewoks.

An Electric Fly Swatter... problem is, is cant catch flies... yes, it's a bad effort at a joke...

My dad told me that it might be a grease gun. But i'll take credit for it.

This is driving me nuts. If I never find out what this thing is, I will never forgive Solid!

 Exactly was I was thinking right now !

Edit : Well, seriously, if Solid Lifterns doesn't know what it is and nobody else in this thread knows, we could actually send this pic to G.M.
I mean, they should have some peoople dealing with G.M. history, and with a little luck the original owner used that thing at G.M. for testing sth

I'm pretty sure it's a Lambo, dude.

I bet it's a sex-toy. Where's Omnis?

Is that really my reputation now?

I don't know what that thing is but it looks like it goes in the canooter valve.

Could it be a giant battery electrode or something?

Now? What do you mean you perve now? :dopey:

Well, he said that you are supposed to post a picture of something that you don't know what it is, but does this apply to the original poster himself, too? He hasn't said anything since the original post, which makes me even more nervous!

I bet he's laughing at us every time he sees a new post in this thread.

It's the tool on Amidala's ship that would have fixed the hyperdrive and they could have skipped landing on Tatooine.

I think they used an index finger in medieval times as well. Funny that with all the technology a finger is still the only way.

Thanks alot, Buzz Killington.

Could it be an antique Thermo Coupler?

It's a thermo-something, I know that.

I've enlisted the help of yahoo answers with this. I've scoured the internet looking for pictures of anything even similar for long enough. What the hell is this thing...

It's true, to what I first said, I don't know what it is. Somebody here can find out what it is, and post the proof. They then get to go with their item. (However, I don't think they have one, so this 'game' is a bit limited)

I'm always laughing at you people. What I do in this thread is irrelevant. :)

That's exactly what I'm doing right now! This is an item from another web forum I visit. ;)

Well my father told me it could be a type of glue gun(or did he say gun?) or fire starter.

My first guess is that it's some sort of welding device.

Second guess would be that [wikipedia]Hephaestus[/wikipedia] wants it back.

If it is used by a mechanic it is obviously some specialty tool made specifically for one job for a certain vehicle (or at least most likely something like that). The only way to find out is to ask someone who worked at GM or someone who knows a lot about GM parts/tools. (that is all I know about it if it is a tool...)

If not it may be some kind of pipe cleaner?

It's hard to tell what it is like from the picture. It also looks like a sausage maker.
