What to buy?

Unfortunately I don't have the R92CP yet. It's gone by twice in the UCD when I had the money, but on both occasions I didn't buy it because I was saving for a Chapparal or the Formula Gran Turismo (which I've never seen). The R92CP has more power than the R89C but still has the same gearing I think. I think the R92CP is worth buying for 4.5million though, just for it's notoriety:sly:

If there is another car that you want first though then I'd leave the Nissan till later on as it's quite frequently for sale. I still want a 2J ofcourse. How does the 2J compare to the Toyota 7 in terms of lap times?
 
get a 500f best car in the game. fully tune it and paint it gold. that's what i did for fun :)

The gears in the r92cp is different then the r89c

Are they? I thought they were both 5 speeds with 5th gear going to about 227mph. I have been onboard an A.I R92CP just out of interest when Bob was cruising away in the x2010 s.vettel. It appeared to be shifting at the same points as my R89C.

The gear ratios is different.thats why it's different

Round a course like laguna seca the 2J is a beast. My toyota 7 is fast in acceleration but handling isnt as good. For B-spec for some reason the toyota 7 is faster than the 2J but in A-spec the 2J beats it. obviously the 2J has better handling but not 10mill Cr. worth haha. in Circuits with long straights the toyota i think would win in a race.

Really my 2J gets to 230 no problem while my Toyota 7 goes to 190 and thats it

I guess it's something we will never know. The Toyota 7 was intended to enter the 1970 CanAm along side the McLarens, Ti22, Lolas, Shadows and ofcourse the imfamous 2J. However this was a car so dangerous that both of Toyota's drivers died during testing the car we see in the game. These were the same drivers who successfully tamed the non turbo Toyota 7 which did quite well in Japan.

It's not hard to see why though when you think of how little protection the driver had and the small matter of 1300bhp/ton! Pity it never made across the Pacific as i think it could have done well :(
 
I like the Bentley Speed8 for 0-100 acceleration...the GT-One is probably the best all around LMP car, I'd say. either of those will do nicely:)

yeah but ive set the top speed of my 2J down to enable faster acceleration. And i have geared my Toyota 7 up so it can reach slightly higher top speed without sacraficing too much acceleration.

Tbh i like both of them fairly equally - i just dont think the 2J is worth 10 million more. i just like collecting them haha
 
Ya know I just thought of something..why not buy them all?:lol: I did(or obtained them through tickets).
 
Might take a while but it's sure fun.:)
 
I can't go wrong with 458 Italia.:) but there is a long line of others I like behind it,not really a fan of most racers though I do like the Sauber and your avatar car the 787B.
 
yeah thats a good car, i should use mine more. i love the racers if theyre fun to drive, unlike the FGT which i find incredibly dull but it gets the job done
 
Enzo Killer.;):D Love the SLS too.The Enzo is so sluggish.

SLS is very Serious.
 
For me the Gallardo is serious but can be good if treated and or tuned well.

Don't buy the SLS. You get it as a prize if you gold all of the AMG driving Academy 'Advanced' challenges. Very nice car to drive and it sounds brilliant also. I prefer it to the SLR which is the prize for golding all the 'Expert' challenges.
 
You do? I thought that was the SLR.
 
You get both the SLR and SLS from the AMG driving academy. As well as some very generous prize money. The strange thing is that the prizes seem to get worse the higher the level. For golding all challenges you receive the following:

Expert: Mercedes SLR McLaren
Advanced: Mercedes SLS AMG
Intermediate: MERCEDES CLK-LM RACE CAR!

The latter was my first high powered racing car in the game and it enabled me to win many A-spec events with relative ease. Including 'Like The Wind' which ofcourse leads to the imfamous Minolta Toyota.
 
I just recently bought a Chaparral 2D from the UCD as it's quite rare. It has an awesome engine sound and I'd say it's very fun to use on 650pp seasonal events.
