When I started playing the game, I really liked the C2000 Amuse; it helped me win a lot of races easily. The Zonda R '09 is also very good as a next stage. The XJR-9 '88, 787B '91, 962 C '88, and SF23 Super Formula are great cars; I'd like to use them more often, but they don't get many races, and in the races where they meet the GR3 requirements, they feel cheating, with too easy wins. But after a year of playing, I can say that my favorite car has become the Cayman GT4 '16.
Also, it's impossible not to mention the RC F GT500 '16 - it's a great car, but there aren't enough races for it, and with GR3, it again feels like cheating.

The Gr2 Epson NSX is probably my favorite car. Very underutilized but it's a blast to drive.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992)

the way it screams to over 9k rpm and the Guards Red Color with the Weissach Package I have on my spec makes it a treat to drive. I use it almost anytime it is eligible to compete in an event in GT7 I have about 300 or so miles on the car.

I adore the 992 GT3 RS and it is about as close as I will get to owning one since they go for insane "unobtainum" prices in real life

So what was the best car you’ve have driven in gt7 and why mine was Mazda 787b
Too many to remember.

Had a blast with Porsche Spyder '55, Clio V6, Toyota Celica (not the rally one), Honda S2000, Ferrari F40, R8 Gordini, Honda Integra, Alfa Romeo 4C, Viper GTS '02...

Well, what an interesting question by the OP. Hmm one of my go-to-race cars in the game is probably the LEXUS RCF GT3, the one Igor uses in the SUPER GT GT300 racing series on the GT Youtube channel. It's a solid race car, V8 grumble, fast and sublime handling on Street Tracks and Race Tracks alike!

It even evokes that brazilian competitive flair in me from time to time lol!!!!

Cannot really choose at this time because many cars have good individual qualities but to pick the one car that had the most is hard to pick....

The C7 Corvette ZR1 with JUST max weight reduction and (any)race tires. Those mods alone turn it into a whole racecar.

EDIT: I forgot the most important part. 🤦‍♂️

I have a thing for French cars, I find them all very charming. My favourite has been the Gordini, simply because it has all that French charm, is small and nimble, and yet it can also be an absolute rocket ship. I have won many public lobby races in it, much fun.

It's not as easy a question than it first seemed. I decided to write my thoughts on different categories and styles of cars and go from there, choosing the best road and race cars, respectively as well as few honourable mentions (in alphabetical order) along the way.

Road Cars

Maserati Merak SS '80

Maserati is one of my favourite brands and underutilized in Gran Turismo, but I'm glad they've gotten more attention in GT7. I love the handling, and while as stock it feel's bit under-powered and overweight, that can be easily fixed by a few upgrades. I'm also fan of the unconventional styling, however I wish there were more visual styling options.

Honourable mentions: Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71, Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo '91

Mini Cooper S '65

Okay, officially it's a 2-door saloon but it's a proper hatchback in my heart, it's got that classic hatch shape. While it's not the same model it's closest to Mr. Bean's car, how could you not love it? Has an engine swap as well.

Honourable mentions: Autobianchi A112 Abarth '85 (would be replaced by the Fiat Panda whenever that gets added, could even take the top spot), Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth '87

BMW Z8 '01

I previously wasn't that big of a fan of Z8 and preferred Z4 to it, but quite recently I've learned to love it. Growing up Z4s were quite common, where as I never seen a Z8 and I guess that's a (or the) reason behind it. Yeah, on one hand it's too heavy, but on the other it has got an M5 engine and it is and homage to the 507, it looks great (apart from that front lip).

Honourable mentions: Ford 1932 Roadster '63, Shelby Cobra 427 '66 (+ Suzuki Cappuccino if you could have it as open top)

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm '20

I welcome every (4door) sedan to the franchise with open arms, it's probably my favorite type of car. It feels fantastic to drive but the front end styling is bit too busy for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Giulia (that's why it's my favourite sedan in GT7 and thus one of my favourite cars in the game) but I would have preferred the lower spec Quadrifoglio or the base model that you could then tune up to the GTAm spec.

Honourable mentions: Afeela 1 '26, Citroën DS 21 Pallas '70

Suzuki Jimny Sierra JC '18

Even though it wasn't that notable addition as we already had the Kei-version, and I wish we would've gotten the 5door version instead. That said, it's a Jimny, there aren't a lot of SUVs that I'd prefer to have, and I do like (some) SUVs, definitely more than the average GTP user. It's cute and I prefer Sierra's styling to that of the Kei one, which looks a bit barren without the wheel arches. Bit more power as well.

Honourable mentions: Hyundai Ioniq 5 N '24, Lamborghini Urus '18

Mercedes-Benz Unimog Type 411 '62

A classic with excellent visual customization options. Even if it has the lowest PP in GT7, it's still fun, but you know, it could do with an engine swap.

Honourable mentions: Ford F-150 SVT Raptor '11, Suzuki Carry KC '12

Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V '02

Classic French quirkiness, it has got excellent customization options both visually and performance-ly (yeah I know that's not really a word but you can't stop me). I don't have PSVR2 but I can imagine how great it must feel with its big windows.

Honourable mentions: Toyota Ambulance Himedic '21, Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2 (T1) '62

Wagon(s): Volvo 240 SE Estate '93

Well, there's currently just one option, but even if there were more, it could still take the top spot. Gorgeous boxy styling, engine swap, it's a Volvo. And compared to other Volvos in the series, the wheel is on the correct side ;)

I'll split race cars and VGTs to a separate post, cause this is taking too long.

For me the LFA, tuned to the Nurb spec, with the spoilers. The way it handles is a dream. Perfect turn in and amount of stability vs. oversteer for a roadcar.

A properly tuned 700PP C8 Corvette is hard to beat .
Surprisingly enjoyable to drive too.

But then I haven't driven all the cars yet ..

In PSVR2, I've gotta say the Group C cars as well. I'm talking overall, as a controller player, for as much as I can feel and sense virtually. All five of those cars give it all.
