Hello GTPlanet Community,

I'm a recent member and I was wondering about your hardest events that you all faced on Gran Turismo 5. This also helps others to view and share the difficulties on the gameplay.

Share your experience :)

Thank You

I think that I've read many other players naming the F1 events as the ones that gave them the most challenge.

This would be the Formula Gran Turismo Championship A-Spec event and the Ferrari Forumla Challenge in the Seasonal events.

Most likely the reason for this is that the cars are very speedy, which is great when you're driving well. However, if you make a mistake and have to recover, the other cars are speeding away at 200 mph (322 kmph) which makes it difficult to catch back up to them. Basically, one mistake can take you from being in first place to being in last place, with very little prospect of getting back in the lead. For this reason, it tends to be challenging for many players.

I've also heard the NASCAR races being mentioned. They tend to be about drafting/slipstreaming and that's not usually how races are won in the other events. Most likely due to it being different, it is challenging for some.

I seem to remember a couple of the other Seasonal events mentioned, but I cannot recall what they are at the moment.

I've never really attempted the F1 Seasonal. Tempted though.

Out of Bspec, I'd say it was the 650pp seasonal Number 4 (Cote or something) Was definitely the hardest!
Out of Aspec, probably the Dream Car Championship seasonal (not sure on name)

And yeah, the nascar ones are surprisingly difficult and frustrating.

I just beat the Vettel challenge! Monza was the hardest for me. But totally worth it for a X2010 Prototype!

People have said the GT all stars is really hard and some say its the hardest, however I disagree.

I would say the Ferrari Festival one at the seasonals, the Enzos are above the PP limit which makes it really difficult.

I share the same opinion too. The Vettle Challenge is pretty hard for me and its the only one left to do it with DS3.
FGT is really unstable but thanks to GTP I saw an amazing setup that makes the car more handy!

@HanibalII the F1 is not easy I know. If you practise on FGT A-Spec circuits it will make it easier, all you need is to "trust" on your F1 :)
The B-Spec 650PP its really tricky because of the Chaparral 2J '70... specially on Cote D'Azur, I saved my replay and i can share if possible. All you need is to refresh till the 2J is behind you, his AI will try to pass everyone and before the "S" corner and the tiny corner before finishing the lap he USUALLY Ram in front!!!! Its true, in my race he finished 7th and he made 3/4 collisions.

In my opinion, it is elemental to acknowledge the circuit and specially the Car your going to drive.

It was definitely the Alfa 8C at Eiger in the Grand Tour for me. :banghead: I remember it was one of the last events I needed to gold for platinum, and that it took me about 10 hours to achieve.
After watching a few videos I started to get the hang of it. I remember getting it and feeling extremely pleased and relieved. :)

I still have the bronze medal on that one :(

The recent seasonal race with the Mazda Roadster at Indy is very tough to beat, for me anyway.

No doubt I am lame. 👍

Keep trying and don't quit :D
Believe there is much harder than that. Its just a matter of practise and knowledge of the Car and the Circuit your driving too ;)

You may be lame, but you are not alone. That whole series was a white knuckle adventure for me, especially London Reverse.

The toughest A-spec race was the NASCAR at Daytona. I managed the road courses OK, but Daytona was completely different than anything else in the game.

Toughest B-spec was the Historic Race Car race at Cote d'Azure. I didn't have a 2J at the time, but there was always one at the head of the pack that would just vanish on the first lap. I finally beat it using the Toyota 7 with the gear ratios set wide to mimic the gears of the 2J.

the only two seasonals I am yet to beat are unsuprisingly both on the nurburgring .... the lambo challenge and the Ferrari F1 challenge .... Iv had GT5 since release and can't complete either of these :(

I beat that one with the 430. The trick is that the AI enzo cars are very carefull in the corners. With the rigidility improvement and racing soft tyres you can easily cut down the corners. The enzo is faster on long stretches but the 430 beats it in the corners. But make sure you fully tune it and have a fully costumizable transmission. Then set the max speed to full. Then you get a great top speed and your cars HP should be about 660.
Your reward for winning this is a ferrari california. If you can afford a better ferrari then the 430 you should go for it but it is not impossible with the 430.

B Spec 60's Race cars at Monte Carlo.
Already well posted a few posts above.
At least when you drive it you learn if you fail... My BSpec rabble... Had real issues with the new chicane and Anthony Noghes... both are single file jobs where only the foolhardy tries a pass...

My BSpec drivers are foolhardy.
"SLOW DOWN"
"SLOW DOWN NOW"
"Crash again and you get no dinner and you fix the car yourself."

Gah having flashbacks now.

As far as a-spec races go for me its the lamborghini, ferrari and super car seasonal event races. B-spec its the cote d'azur race cause my b-spec driver loves to hit a certain corner all the time till he finally beat it with my toyota 7 race car.
