I'm not currently using a wheel but am saving up for a g27. it looks very good and the only negative amazon reviews were from stupid people and those who complained that it was not compatible with gt5. (which it now is.)

I use a g27 and can say you won't be dissapointed, its very nice to use. You have to get used to how the clutch works in gt5 though, I had my engine turning off in game (not knowing that could happen) and thought my wheel was broken..

It is black...and round...

seriously though, I just got a T500RS and really like it but now I need a seat or a stand to bolt it to. I did have it attached to a wood tv tray in front of a folding chair. Needless to say, this setup is less than ideal. I broke one tray and my back and ass got really sore from sitting in a weird position.

In the little time that I used it I was really impressed with it. In just a few days I was able to get pretty close to my DS3 times. Now I can't wait to get a real setup and start bombing arund tracks and destroying my old times

I got it off of Amazon.com too. If you check regularly you may find a smokin good deal like I got

Yeah you can, but don't worry that usually only happens when you come to a complete stop. Another thing you'll have to do is balance the gas and clutch before you can move, but the clutch in GT5 is really sensitive I guess so you only have to press and release

And if you haven't guessed I use a G27

I use a DFGT, it does the job perfectly well for its relatively cheap price. If kill for a G27 though...

Just got a DFGT. Was going to return it for a G27 but I think i will hang on to it, Its worked brilliantly so far. Think I will hold on to it and save the $100 bucks for a fancier upgrade down the road.

DFGT. Although I mainly use my DS3 as I see no point in using my wheel until I have something decent/comfortable to set it up on.

I've got the original Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo wheel... fixed to an old lawnmower handle, and 2x4 frame for the pedals :-)

It's pretty good although the H-gate shifter is too plasticky, and I only use it in about 20% of races. It's wireless too, and has started to glitch lately.

If I bought another wheel I'd just go with the Driving Force GT. Cheaper and cheerful... and bespoke to GT.

Old lawnmower handle. That actually sounds like it would work well to hold the wheel. Jaimz u should post some pics of your setup I'd be interested to see.

I got a G25, love it, was considering the Thrustmaster but it's just too rich for me, recession n'all

Have been using DFP since 2005. Thinking about changing it when it dies but no sign of that happening any time soon. :)
