I am so pleased with the new physics, interior views on standard cars and the DLC. This has definitely transformed GT5 to "Spec 2" in my eyes, What would it take to make GT5 Spec 3 ?

For me I would consider an updated and improved damage system and improved offline racing options in GT life so you can set up an offline race exactly to your liking.

That would be enough to take GT5 to spec 3 for me

the sound is a big one i hate driving with those lame sounds e92 m3 to say one

I think it'll be hard to say how Spec 3 would be right now but it depends on what they do in the future before hand, such as other updates and DLC. Right now we would't be even close to being right.

More tracks, B spec in arcade mode, customizable arcade mode lineup( you can add cars from your garage to race against )

Thats what i think should come in, among other obvious things.

I guess i am the only person who really likes b spec...

I wanted it because i was tired of blowing past the competition, especially since they never really fight back if you try to pass them in a spec.

"What would constitute Spec 3 ?", A second season in career mode, incorporating new tracks, many more race events than is currently contained. levels extended from 51-100, but the rate to reach each level the same as the first season. Adding newer production car models.

The B Spec isn't a bad concept, but the way it was executed was crap.

Instead of him being your partner, he ends up as just taking up half the game sucking all the glory from you. BSpec should never be a mode, just a helpful tool.

That, pretty much. The single game has to be expanded with more new gameplay, not just a few new features. Hundreds more events/races/special events.

For me, Spec 3 must include:
1) additional tracks - these & Pikes Peak,
2) expanded A-Spec using additional tracks & adding Championship events
3) remaining Stealth cars (I can dream right! :sly:)

Spec 3.0:

Wheels on standards
Improved A.I.
Better damage model (take a look at Forza's model  )
Paint shop where you can buy all the paints in the game
Standard car dealer where all the standard cars are available to you (no more cycling though the UCD)
A LIVERY EDITOR!!!

All this on top of real DLC (no more unlocks) would make me happy with GT5 until GT6.

-Improved Sounds
-Rims for Standard Cars

^^^ This is the most important for me but a few more things:

-More Premium Cars
-Livery Editor maybe?
-More A-Spec Races

👍

I reckon Spec 3 would be the last update before GT6. Almost like a Beta for some GT6 features.

Maybe time and weather changes for more tracks and some upgraded Standard models.

As a note, If I got what I wanted as a Spec 3 Update, as a DLC pack I'd be willing to pay like $20. Rather that, than pay $60 for a new game when I love GT5 so much. I'd rather expand GT5 than anything else right now. Both as a preference and economically. Now, what I'd want is.......

At least match MOST of the tracks of the PSP version, which was a very complete GT track wise.

A new A-Spec Season, at least as big as the first, focusing mostly on the new added tracks. And some rally events this time, eh?

On a personal level.....since you decided to feature NASCAR in GT5, how about some actual NASCAR tracks? I'm not asking for a bunch of cookie cutter ovals. But you know?.....Bristol, Richmond, POCONO. Good DRIVER tracks that other people would like as well, not just NASCAR fans. Hell, Infineon's NASCAR layout has already been in a Gran Turismo.....c'mon!!

A better course creator. Where you can keep a part you like without it changing when you change another section, and elevation changes are a must. Ideally, I'd want to be able to "Mod Nation" it for corners and elevation. I don't need to decorate, just lay out the track.

Edit- Add every modelled interior from GT4 to their GT5 standard models. And program car's hoods to show on the standard interiors.

Little things: Actually be able to see paint on a car before painting. Meters showing engine and chassis wear in the bebuild screens. Being able to put custom rims on standard cars (there aren't THAT many custom rims in the game, it can't be THAT hard to code, i was changing their rims in GT3 so......).

Kaz, if you get most of that done, aside from the course creator which isn't realistic, just a wish.....I would GLADLY pay $20, maybe a bit more for that. I have no problem paying PD for your efforts if it truly expands GT5. Like I said, I'd rather pay 20-30 bucks to greatly expand GT5 than wait for a GT6. Save GT6 for PS4.

All standards converted to premium, livery editor, event generator... oh, wait that's never going to happen.

Spec 3.0 is a year away at the bare minimum, it's all those DLC tracks we should be excited about.

Unlimited Level for A and B Spec.
Unlimited Credit.
Ability to sell ALL cars, or exchange for something else.
More rims and especially spoilers.
The ability to equip and/or paint rims on Standard cars.
Museum Cards to have meaning: ability to cash them in for Credits and/or create an 'online trading market' where players can upload what they want to trade and want in return.
Customizable Transmission to allow for 4 or 5 or 6 gears, and not the common 6.
0-100 torque split (I really want an MR Gallardo)

This. I prefer keep the original gearbox and go slightly slower online than using the customizable one with th ugly "common race car sound". If they'll improve the sound no more complaints for me, for a year at least, I promise. :)
And more tracks the more the merrier!!

How about...
  • Let us erase driver from compit view (when driving only), and make the in-game steering wheel ratio 1:1 (900 degrees).
  • Further improve crash/rollover physics.
  • Further improve menu navigation and make a better track selection screen where the tracks are sorted by name and has a sub-menu for layouts/variations.
  • Finally, include drag racing (along with a real life drag strip). Seriously, I've waited for this ever since Kaz said it was gonna be featured in GT2, and I'm not the only one.

This seems to have turned into a wish list.
I hope the physics don't change any further. Spec 3 would be worthy if they included one or two more cars, standards converted to premium, even better A.I. and more events. Not too ambitious I think anyways.

This, and:
more real/fictional tracks
a leaderboard system for different classes of cars

a new a spec career, using those painstakingly made tracks and cars, making use of performance points. maybe an advanced career, not as accessible but much more difficult even with a huge car collection.
a raised level cap would go well with this.

Yeah a more advanced/difficult A-Spec career- Even if it's just an OPTION, would be what I want.

A livery editor would have to be a part of it. In 2011 it's already inexcusable not to have one, in 2012 or 2013 it would be even worse an oversight.

Keep dreaming.... But they could make new stealth cars though.. ;)

So tell me why you think America shouldn't get them. Is it just because we're America?
