What would you consider as your ULTIMATE vehicle?

Ultimate vehicle for me would be a Range Rover. I would have that if I am only allowed one vehicle to own and drive.

And since there is only one, I'll take the supercharged petrol version :D

If I may offer a suggestion, you should have opted for a Cadillac Cimarron instead!:sly: The same car for twice as much! Plus, it came with a Cadillac badge that's sure to impress the neighbours once they stop laughing!:lol:

Or, how about an AMC Concord? Not that I'm biased or anything - I'd actually drive one if I found a nice one at the right price. Probably my 'ultimate' AMC!

Obviously not 'ultimate' in the same way some of the other vehicles in this thread are, but I still genuinely like and think highly of this car nevertheless! Oodles of personality.👍

At least you're more creative than 90% of the other people in this thread.

Sorry. Production supercars weren't the intention, as I read it. Get creative, folks. Make something up. Hell, the spaceships were a nice change of pace.

Why do both these cars look totally bend and twisted out of shape?

The Concord was introduced for the 1978 model year. It was basically a refreshed Hornet. Had it been simply an update to the Hornet it probably would've tanked, but AMC, being the creative misers that they are, decided to take the Hornet up-market and make a whole 'new' car out of it. The inside was, for its time, pretty upscale for a car of its stature. The Concord's rear end (it's an '81 in the pic I posted) is simply AMC's way of trying to update the looks on the cheap. The taillights are mostly responsible for that look as they concave and the bumper wasn't updated to reflect this! So no, it wasn't subjected to a collision upon leaving the factory!:crazy: The '78s looked different. Try Googling it and see what you think.

The red one is a '79, but there aren't really any parts of it that stand out as twisted-looking.... just the fender flares but they really add something to teh looks of the car! That's one of the things I really like about AMC. They managed to do so much with so little - it's amazing they went as far as they did. From the basic Hornet platform that debuted in 1970, they got 15 'different' cars dating to their final demise in 1987 across the Hornet, Gremlin, Concord, Spirit, and Eagle ranges. Pretty ultimate to me!

Well, in my mind, there are two separate options that do two very different things...

Option 1: Chevrolet "Chevy" III
* On the smaller side of "mid-size", four door saloon
* Tipping the scales somewhere around 3600 lbs, give or take
* Rear wheel drive, multi-link rear suspension
* New GM Gen V small-block V8, somewhere around 430 BHP from a 5.5L unit
* Six-speed manual, only
* 19-inch wheels styled similarly to the old Cragar S/S', rolling on Michelin PS2s

Option 2: Volkswagen Jetta SB
* Based on the NCS architecture, shooting brake design
* Tipping the scales somewhere around 3400 lbs
* Haldex Gen 5 AWD system with active torque vectoring capability
* 3.0L Supercharged V6, 300 BHP, from the Audi A6
* Seven-speed DSG gearbox, only
* Standard 17" BBS wheels, optional 18" wheels with PS2 rubber

Lol you forgot to mention full maintanance coverage no money out of pocket. Biggest bitch to keep up ever lol.

Ultimate car huh?

- I want a Audi RS4 but with custom extras :).
- the 4.2L replaced by the 5.2 engine from the A8/R8 V10
- Recaro Racing seats with same comfort as the A4/S4/RS4 seats.
- HPA custom twin turbocharger system for 5.2L V10 for my custom RS4 LOL.
- DSG optimized to support a 900+ HP engine
- A microphone system to tell the idiots on the road where I live why they should stop driving and why I am laying on the horn behind them lol.

That's my dream car.

How about this?

Or quite possibly THIS!:drool::bowdown::bowdown:

Nope... DEFINITELY the Arrow!👍

A car with high power and little to no fuel consumption and little to no emissions would be my ultimate vehicle.

I've come to the conclusion that I'd want a Cadillac CTS-V wagon with the true 6spd manual after being sent to Hennesey for some go fast goodies. Oh and I'll take it in black please.

mine would have to be a Gembella mirage GT, in pearlescent orange and with twin turbos its such a sexy car or a R34 from global auto/wacky mate or the S15 from scorch racing all in Japan (google them :drool:) or a GT by citroen Race Car if only it was real!
or the other for laughing at people in Ferraris would be a Nissan Micra with a RB26DETT engine swap, making over 1000hp and a drivetrain conversion to 4wd! haha that would be the ultimate sleeper in the world....probably!

Maybe this one

👍

Other than the above SuperVeloce, I'd take a standard Maserati Quattroporte GT S in black. Annoying interior, and it has a Ferrari engine which, if you look across to my name is the antichrist, but it looks brilliant, sounds brilliant and it's got loads of character.

Alright, I'll bite, with a not-too-creative entry.

Plus a supercharger (or just a complete Dinan Stage 3 package) for the power.

Umm don't you mean big block? I think the biggest gm small block was a 400 iirc.

Either one. I was talking more about transplanting a modern 427 small block but the older 427 big block would also suffice. Depends what you're into :).
