OK. Everyone here has played the GT games (either one or another) and everyone is looking forward to GT4. Since I'm a new member and this is my first thread, I thought I'd do something everyone could relate to.

Now, having played GT3 and (sob):( only being able to read about GTC, other than online racing what improvements or new things would you like to see in GT4?

I'll go first. Being able to change your oil inbetween races in a series!! I hate that.

Also , for Gumpy, Vinq and others who tried it, being able to choose which car you win in a series.

Please feel free to post your ideas. Maybe we could send them to Sony and PD and {maybe} they will listen.

Ciao...

id want some more manfacturacers like ferrari and porsche, plus labroghini plus there should be used cars like in gt2

I never really played GT2, but I would like to see a lamborgini in the game. A race modified version would be the BOMB!!!

Used cars...hmmm

I would want to be able to do racing modification to a car like in GT2.

I would also like changing weather and more options in the pits, like: changable tires, mabey a game save for those long endurance races (even though that kills the expirience of a real driving simulator) and to be able to atually have to refule your car so horsepower freaks would burn up gas faster then a normal unmodified race car.

And lastly I would like for more complex rally tracks because i luv the controlls of GT and don't want to switch to a different game for the rally expieriance.

Heh heh, there are a lot of threads about this (:

My standard answer is that I would like everyone's suggestions to be included in the next release - but I want them all to be options that I can toggle on and off. Customizing the game environment to the individual player will generate a larger acceptance than any single feature ever could.

it would be cool if i could pay PD to put a 1989 bmw 325is so i could drift with. but we cant(never tried) anyway and more cars and you can buy like spoilers, nitro, carbon fibres hood adn much more and like many kind of the same part EX: like eibach springs or racing dynemkes

Simple.....

More American Cars (New designs and old muscle cars). Especially newer US concept designs like.......

Cadillac Sixteen (V16) Concept
New Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum with Hemi engines
Chevy SS Concept
Ford 2005 Mustang
Pontaic G8 Concept
Ford 427 (V10 w/ over 500 hp) Concept

Oh, and More Tracks.

Take a GT2 (or bigger) size car list (with some small modifications and additions) and make it graphically better than GT3 and you'll have a winner.

Diversity os VERY important. Lets skip the 500 lancers and miata and add in some other cars instead, like GT2 had. Some of us like to drive things other than a skyline.

well to me most importantly...I hope there will be more cars...such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati...and some others...

EA has the Ferrari and Lambo rights with a death grip :( , but it would be nice to see them in the game. Oh yea, and the save feature would be nice in enduros 👍

Yeah, I really wanna see exotics in GT4 too. Also, I wanna see damage, realistic features, like tracks from Monaco, Laguna, etc..

As far as prize cars go I reckon they should somehow be allocated better ie you can win some cars in at least 3 spots eg Calsonic Skyline.

Also by the time you get to the S license series you have won virtually all cars except the F1s so why put any others there. I reckon at least one of the other cars you win there should not be available anywhere else.

BROOONGGG!!!
would you like to fit them?
BROOONGGG!!!

errr you get the idea :D hehe

and increasing the dump valve sounds would make my life infinitely better :P hehe, so its just as loud as it is in auto modellista. the game handles like a dog but the sound of the dump valve and misfiring system is to die for...

dont forget an M5, and an alpina B3 and B10.

a hamann M5 would be nice too. there's one close to my school and the 19" rims look the bizzzzneeesssssss ;)

I would like to see my driver when a race in GT4. That would be cool. Also a create-a-driver would also be a nice feature. Something to the depth between Tony Hawk Pro Skater Underground and WWE Wrestlemania XIX. That would most likely never happen because of some problem like there is not enough polygons to spare or something. And I would like to see better air physics. When it comes to taking jumps in GT3, it is the most rediculous thing ever. Your rear end just flys back to the road and your front end is still in the air. And while this is going on the camera is FIXED on your rear so it has to go into the road and its all glitched up old-school. Moronic. And in that one track, which I can't remember the name because it is too silly of a name, near the end of the lap there is that grass patch there on the corner (if anyone knows what I am talking about) it goes up about 45 degrees. If you nail that think going at 165mph, you should do about 30 barrel rolls. But in GT3 all you do is go on 2 tires for a half a second, loose some control, then your back on all 4 wheels. AAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGG!!!!! They should snatch the air physics from Rush 2. Hahahahahhaa....that was a fun game. I like the stunt course. They should have that in GT4 too. HAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!

I would like an option to turn car engine volume, crowd volume, music volume, sound effect volume, tire volume, up and down to my liking.

I'd like to see independent navigational controls.
Meaning: When changing screens or selecting options, the D-pad can be depressed and the buttons will work.

lets see...more cars. more variety. more classics. better engine sounds (you know what I'm talking about here. we need some more growls and howls instead of whining and hissing. I'm gonna get hammered for this but PGR2 did a great job with engine noises). cosmetic parts upgrades (not just race mods, I mean everything. Think TXR3. They even allowed you to change your license plate placement!). Drastically better A.I. (bumper cars should stay in the amusement parks). Realistic damage (no chance in hell of this being implemented. I'll have to get my fix from pro race driver 2._ AND FOR GODS SAKES A SIM NEEDS AN IN-CAR CAMERA VIEW! If you're wondering, my caps lock is not stuck. otherwise I'd say we'll all love it and play it to death, even if they dont include these things.

More SUVs, wagons, and large sedans please. AND the Civic Coupes and Sedans, not just the 3 Doors. I have a whole entire collection of Civics in my GT2.

ideally, everything... :trouble:

realistically, indepth tuning, from camshafts to fuel injectors to suspension bushings. a stane alone engine management would be koo for fine tuning add on parts

and a bmw isetta for kicks

I'm hoping the release date delays is PD waiting for some of the concepts from the latest auto shows. I'm hoping for some from the Detroit show and Geneva the least.
Haven't played GT Concept and probably never will, but looking at the car list at gtp's website here's a few from GT Concept I'm hoping to find in GT4. (If you've played GT concept and have tried these cars PM me and tell me about it)

-2001 DUALNOTE: If there's a fuel gauge in GT4 this one's won't be dropping by anytime soon.

-NSX-R Prototype LM: I'm hoping it'll drive and sound like the twin turboed NSX from the Best Motoring video.

-INTEGRA Type R LM: Driven the car IRL and this one's even faster! Something my GSR would never do. :D

-RX-8 LM : Loved the 7. Hope to love this too.

-GT40 LM: Got Torque?

-Mazda 6 LM: Like the Mazda 3 design better, but its an LM so its good enough for me. Also hoping for the Mazdaspeed Protege.

-2001 GSX-R/4: Wow, very creative! It surely beats back pain from hunching forward going 160.

-Cien Concept: Stealth Fighter on wheels and 750 horses. Upgrades should be interesting.

Well for a start cars, cars, and more cars.

Some old-skool Japanese imports, RX-3, Skyline 2000GT, 240Z, R31 GTR all the old favourites.

All the classic muscle cars of the past and present.

Some Holdens for a change.

D1 Drifting events with specially designed tracks made just for drifting.

Convertibles where you can see the driver and you can custimize the driver to your tastes ie, helmet, clothes, custom number plates etc.

More tracks.

All the above plus many of the ideas floating around these forums would do me fine.

Someone mentioned Ferrari. I would love to race the 333SP or the F50. Maybe I can do with the F40 from BPR and from Super GT/SCUD Race. I have a lot more, but that's up to others to decide what they want to see.

Hmm...
Temporary tire marks (marks that dissapear as too many new ones are created).
Dynamometer.
Engine swaps.
Extended development time, as to eliminate more bugs that with surely exist.
More euro cars.
Autocross Track Editor (like how hard could it be to create and save cone layouts on a flat surface?)
No rally mode (less dirt. more touge.)
Enhanced replay controls (play, pause, etc)...

I could go on forever.

No Rally? You've got to be joking, the rally portion of the GT3 was a blast but I suppose each to their own.

There's just one more thing I would really like to have. Downloadable cars! Someone mentioned if we ever get the Hard Drive to the states then this could be possible. I would really like this feature because it would keep me busy till PS3 comes out.

You know I would just like to see GT 4 and you can take that to the bank. . . In the meantime I'll play some TXR3 : )
