Ok, what do you think the best sounding BOV cars are in the game?

The Suzuki Alto Works is the best and loudest one i have heard so far, are there any better ones? If so list all the ones you think are the best.
 
I honestly have to ask:

Why in the name of trees would you care what the blowoff valve sounds like?
 
No, it's an honest question. I'd really like to know why somebody cares what the blowoff valve sounds like. It has nothing to do with anything.
 
I have the luxury of playing on a very nice surround sound system, and the BOV is absolutely over powering. Even with adjusting the speakers for it.

If you have a passion for Turbo cars then the BOV makes all the difference!! How can you find it annoying? Turbo cars in my opinion are the best sounding cars and the BOV simply compliments it.

I think that the sweet sound of a turbo, (complete with a massive BOV) kicks-ass over the sound of any other car on the road.
V8's sound tough and all but i think they sound more or less the same from car to car. Turbo cars vary in their sound and so does the BOV and thats what makes it so interesting.

Plus a 4clynder Engine can sound as tough as a V8 (i.e WRX with 3inch exhaust) but have the added bonus of monster BOV.

I dunno about you people but to hear the 'WOOOSHHH' after the turbo has spooled up drivers my crazy and i simply love it. :D

I appreciate the honest answer. But I must say I'm highly highly annoyed by people with turboed street cars who look for loud blowoffs and then drive around lifting throttle unnecessarily just so they can show off the fact that they have a turbo.

Personally, I love the scream and whine of a boosted engine, but that stupid little "p-choo" noise doesn't do anyhting for me.
 
I know what you mean in that regard. People who unnecessarily press the throttle and then lift it just to get the BOV makes me think less of them. Other than that i like the noise. Some BOVs sound crappy like a fart or something, but other ones are awesome.

Well apart from BOV's, what cars really have good Turbo spooling sounds in the game? I mean the FC Rx7 Infiniti sound pretty good what others are there?
 
I like Turbocharged cars and love the sound of BOV... but i wouldnt turbocharged a car if its N/A stock.. i just think that the real sound is the sound of a N/A Engine. Simply amazing you cant get a sound like that from a turbocharged car but on the other hand i love turbo cars and the BOV is a plus... even though neon may not like it then again its his opioin and i respect that.. i like BOV but i think the real sound is from N/A car ;) anyways...

I think Alto too.. seem alittle louder than my GT one... or is it just that i have a hearing problem :D
 
Ha, I'm using a "mono" television. I get no BOV sounds at all... only revving. Odd... I guess missing the stereo channel means I get no BOV.
 
I only have a mono TV, but you can still hear BOV and so should you. What driving view do you use? Maybe you are driving so you can see your car from the outside and in this case you will not be able to hear any BOV, no matter what the car. This is werid by the way coz you should be able to hear it even more!!

Rollazn: N/A engines can sound nice. I have a Sports muffler on my 94 5-Speed Magna and it sound deep and fruity. In inital D that goofy guy says the same thing you do. 'you cant get that sound from a turbo car.'

linoleum: now you can have all the BOV you want!!! :D
Go get the Suzuki Alto Works. (You know..the little box on wheels) and drive it around stock (63Hp) Its got an insanely loud BOV.


Bahbo: yeah my exhaust on my Magna has a deep, fruity burble to it. It pops when you let go of the accelerator, especially when i am going downhill. Fruity is probably not the best word to choose, but sometimes i cant be bothered thinking, espcecially when im at work building PC's and trying to type on this forum at the same time.
 
Ving: If you dont like BOV sounds, what car sounds do you like? Or does the sound of a car not phase u in any way? (Just curious)

nah, not into cars.... ;)

meaty v8s in the game....

inthe game i like the vantage v8 and the vipers sounds :)
irl, turboed and non turboed 4cyls... it really depends on the car...
I like that sound of my astras engine but not the sound from the muffler as its too quiet...
i prefer to the suzukis BOV sound tho the sound of my power windows :)
