I'd rather burn the $$.
Whats the first th you are going to/have done when you get/got prologue.

I'm gonna take it to my PS3 put it in, and read the booklet while it loads, then i'm gonna have a look round the menus before deciding what to do.

What are you planning to do?, I might join yer.

Read all the news & watch all the GTTV shows I couldn't understand before because it was in Japanese!! :D

The fisrt thing I will do when I get my English copy is play it and enjoy the GTTV videos in English. I can't understand them in my Japanese copy.

Drive home with it after I take it off the guy in the shop!!!:sly: Do you guys, only the guys who have just got the game (noobies), want a really bad online race were we all pretty much are crap??

WOW! you both have the Japanese version and are getting the EU one anyway!! I wish I was as hardcore as you guys, but i'm not that experienced yet, although I can get top times, not as hardcore in a personality way.

-I will probably look at the vids aswell, giving me time to read the booklet.
And about being crap the first time we play- I will be inexperienced but if the handling is anything like GTHD it'll be easy, it'll still be cool to create a 'n00b' server the day it's released here in europe, i'll just be kicking those rammers.

first I will go about the instalation process.
have a quick shower
make a coffee
free race london
watch the replay whilst having a cigarette
watch the documentary
fiddle with car settings
race another lap of london
then start the game proper

Don't forget about me... I own the Japanese Copy as well...

So first I am going to drive back home.. Use my teeth, or seizors to rips the plastic foil off. Kiss the front cover.. After 10 minutes alone with it :sly: (im just kidding of course) , I'll Pop in the disc, Plug in my G25 to Electricity, then PS3, and sit down on the Playseats Evo racing cockpit chair. Oh yeah and turn on the TV, and switch to PS3 video channel. Then Press Start the disc on the PS3 ( because I like to have auto play off) and while I upload from disc to the PS3's HDD I will pick up the manual, read here and there quickly so I won't miss anything important. The as the game Starts, I will go to the G25 settings and switch everything to SIM options, and turn on the Power Steering since real cars do have power steering :). Then Buy my first car, I'll go with the cheapest one I can get, then start playing the game. Before I start playing I'll turn the assists off, and turn on the Professional and MT on.

Switch of the power steering for the F40 and 512 though and any other older cars.

play it

The first thing i'll probably do with GT5P is get concussion, because i'll be sat peering through the letterbox and will get smacked on the head by it as it slides through!

Aside from that, i'll sit and countdown the installation with manual in one hand and DS3 in the other. Gawp at the EU intro movie (they always have different cuts to the US/JP).

Kick the tyres, check my fluids and fuel (aka fart, take a slash, get a drink and a cheese and ham sarnie!:p) and rip through GT5Ps proverbial gearbox of missions!

After a bit of practice, i might just see some of you gents online later in the day for a nice, clean race!

A word of advice to Southend Rage, don't be over confident. Competition is going to be hot straight from the box and the new physics will take some learning. If you make a smart ar*e comment on here and then get constantly thrashed, you'll never here the end of it. Also, please don't use the term "Japanese", the forum staff are clear and obvious that it will be seen as an offensive phrase and action taken if ness.

Race through it as quick as I can till I can afford the DB9..and then slow down alot and take a better look around.

Read the NEW's because i coulden't understand it in the japanese version, and the save enough money to buy the blitz ER34 so i can get my ken nomura on (drifting).:sly:

Reach 100%, then proceed to buy every available car in black. Will check out the rest (GTTV, News, etc.) inbetween all that.

How long does it take, on average, to download some GTTV?

i allready have the japanese dowload version since it came out,and am hoping for the expectable update...if not i will go and buy the eu version right away!!.....you know what i did when i got the j-version downloaded??....i had a big fight with my girlfriend cause she wanted to go out for dinner....NOT!!!....so i played all night till the sun came up and the next day i made it up to her(you know what i meen...)....but that first night on my 42inch lcdtv with surround sound playing the gt5p whas just as wonderfull as the night after....spyrrari.

Depends, really. Some of the files are small and only take 20 minutes. Other files are about the size of a CD-ROM and can take hours. All of thisdepends on how the servers are being hit.

I have the Japanese version as well, so reading is impossible for me at the moment. I'll probably scroll through news and GTTV for a few minutes, but I'm going to go through the garage and look at all the new cars in glorious 1080p, check out some of the new modes and options, and hopefully use a G25 racing wheel for the first time (when I get it).

Read the instruction manual, buy a car, and try to obtain the 4 Ferraris, R8, and DB9 as quickly as possible!

I see this is going to be like all the other games that have updates or downloads on the PS3, unnecessarily long. I really wish I could just pay Sony $4.00 a month for either streaming the vid as DL, or downloading in a reasonable amount of time as per your connection. Recently I made the mistake of borrowing Motorstorm and on my 10 down 1 up connection the update to almost 30 minutes. Waiting that long when your PC and 360 can do it in half the time is what makes it seem unnecessary to me. But it is GT, so all is forgiven, and I will wait through hours of DLs, just to experience it.:)

👍 A man after my own heart.

And finally be able to read the text scrolling across the bottom of the screen

drool at all the unlocked cars in 1080p then tryout the drift mode

Unlock and drive the F40 and 512BBi as quickly as possible. :)

However, the PSN is FREE to use, unlike other gaming consoles :sly:

I'm going to desperately try to unlock the F40. I'll then race my friends online with it.

Hey good point.. but I thought they did had power steering.. so when was Power steering a standard?

Drive the F40 around High speed ring and pretend that I'm playing GT1.

I know the F40 didn't. The only creature comfort it had was air conditioning. No door handles, no carpets, no TCS, no ABS, no power steering. Not even a radio!

Race ONLINE as soon as possible. Something I haven't done much of with JPN version. Yes reading the crawler will be nice, especially pertaining to F1. Getting back on TT leaderboards, as I guess importers will have to start over in US/UK?
