DeLoreanBrownI stayed wake for seven days when i was seventeen years old. I was writing a novel at the time and it seemed like a good thing to do in the summer holidays , writing and computer games can help with wakefulness . Again, staying awake for one or two days at a time is a regular occurence w/ me and ime suprised its so uncommon here .
I would hate to see how your writing turned out, and what your video game skills were like when you went into your second day. After 2-3 days of no sleep, the brain starts to lose control of your motor functions (hand twitches, etc.) and concentration. And even if you were able to concentrate on writing, it would start coming out jibberish due to your train of thought constantly being derailed by your short term memory going out the door. Also, by the 3rd day, the lack of sleep would leave you with vision comparable to a light "magic mushroom" buzz, with the letters of your writing swirling around on the page in front of you, that is, if you can even read correctly anymore, since your eyes would find it impossible to focus on anything that small long enough to read.
I'm not sayin I don't believe you, i'm just saying you should post your novel and your high scores from that week of no slumber you had for us all to have a good laugh at.👍
