What track do you wish to see in GT4? I was going to make this a poll, but there are SO MANY different tracks, and the maximum is 30. My favorite track from GT1 and GT2 was the High speed ring. I can't wait to see it in GT4. Sooo prettty and beautifullll.........:D :D :D

I made a topic on this subject some time ago..

But I wouldn't mind seeing the Montreal GP. It's one of my favorites...I could aslo go for the brand new Bahrain GP. Racing in the desert..

I have many favorites. Generally long tracks, such as :

Nurburgring Nordshliefe
Spa Francorchamps (the one in GPL)
Le Mans Le Sarthe
Bathurst

If I have to choose only one, then it will be Nurburgring. As we already know it is in, I am happy! :) :)

how about one of those hot-wheels tracks with the loops and if you go too slow you get eaten by a dinosaur... ...unless of course you kill it first by crashing intp the special switch that makes th dinosaur's head pop off.... seriously, i'm happy with the current tracks. i dont know many tracks, because on not big on F1 or grand touring cars. maybe the road america track would be nice because i live near there.

Grindlewald was a fun track.

Bathurs is completely psycho. I love it!

The Nurburgring (long version) is a lot of fun, but it can be kinda tiring.

I can't wait to race on Tsukuba some more. Prologe was fun, but since my Chinese is limited to ordering Tsing Tao (sp?) Beer, it wasn't too cool on the menu front! :)

-Luguna Seca-Best.Track.Design.Ever. Gotta love the corkscrew.
-Nurburgring-Can we say "Bye honey, I'm goin to race today!"
-Red Rock Valley-Pretty, fast.
-Grindlewald-Would look awesome with 3rd generation PS2 graphics
-Seattle-Still have memorys of racing on this baby back when I owned GT3.
-Any of the Stage Route's are awesome, me want more.
-That first one in GT2, cant remember the name of it.

I'm going to do something odd.

I'm going to back Grand Valley Speedway. It has, in my opinion, everything one could possibly have in a racing circuit. It steals from practically every circuit I can think of in some respect.

We have a bridge like Montreal in Canada.

We have a tunnel like Monaco, and two others for good measure.

We have a long, high speed straight.

We have cambered hairpins and turns, and some that are off camber as well to add to the confusing mix.

We have blind kinks, at speed.

We have slow, twisty, technical pieces that require thought, anticipation and a perfect line.

Now, Nordschleife is probably going to blow me away. I have no doubt it will become my favourite circuit as I race away hours trying to remember the damn line. But I'll always have a special place for Grand Valley, and I look forward to completing another 300k on it.

I would like to see Red Rock Valley return. That was an awesome track.High Speed Ring would be nice. But my favourite track is Spa Francorchamps.

Of the GT tracks my favourite is Deep Forest...

Other race courses that I would like to see however are Brands Hatch, Silverstone & Donnington Park... This is probably cos I'm a Brit though...

I was well chuffed that Monaco (Cote D'Azur) was in 3 and look forward to it's return as one of the most technical circuits in the world.

I would like to see Monza there though as a pure out and out Speed fest circuit.

I really have to agree with you. Grand Valley has it all.
The only problem is that it was (or "is", as it will most certainly come back in GT4) too big and large for underpowered cars.

Trial Mountain and Deep Forest are probably the best in my opinion.

I just hope we will see introduced in GT4 more "twisted" courses (Grindelwald f.e.) and less with "flat, 90 degrees" corners (like NY).

I totally agree with that last statement...

I much prefer windy twisty circuits that each corner is taken at different speeds...

Not courses like Seattle where each one was a 90 degree corner and you just had to hammer the brakes down to a certain speed then you'd turn in and accelerate away.

Deep forest is my fave cos each corner links into each other and you either tap the brakes, stand on them ease off, floor the accelerator or shimy the car to flow through the course... Purely exquisite experience to behold!

i would also agree that Grindleward would be a favourite to make a return, The uphill S curves were fantastic as well as the final section. this tops my list for returning tracks.
Closely followed by Red Rock valley, and the Highspeed ring for the banked sections.

For real world tracks id go with (hmm better limit this to 3 for now)

Brands hatch Gp, as its only up the road from me, Ive driven it, been driven it, and experienced many forms of motor sport there. (would be a shame to see it dissapear)

Bathurst for its windy, narrow, hill sectons, for the lovely variety of corners and high speed straights, The circuit is mad.

Finally Spa Gp, just wanna blast through Eau rouge, then down through the high speed forest section into the bus stop, Just hope they make it with a wet option too.

Ive Many more that id like too see, but these top my list.

not a huge fan of wishlists, but why not...

Returning tracks:
1. High Speed Ring
2. Red Rock Valley

Have to admit, PD has created some great fictional tracks... can't wait to see if they have any new gems.

New Tracks:
1. Bahrain GP track
2. Gilles Villeneuve (Montreal) GP track (i'm canadian and we need to represent)
3. Road America
4. Toronto CART street course (just cause i want my home town represented)
5. Le Mans
6. Spa-Francorchamps
7. Gotland Ring (sweden)
8. Interlagos

#1 was Nurburgring Nord, but it's in so everything else is gravy.

uhmm...my favorite track must be...Trial Mountain just because it has some interesting corners and such also the lenght of the track is just perfect but I also like Grand Valley but only with high powered cars, of course we haveLS with the famous corkscrew,Rome the 2hr race on GT2 is never forgotten:O ..I really hope they put in high powered cars like the GT-one,R390,CLK-GTR..aahh you know what I mean..not like in GT3 where the compitition consisted of 156 and TT..uaaakkk:crazy:
then we have Midfield and short track that is pretty nice:D

ok now for tracks that should be in(even though this is of topic according to the thread title)..I wolud really like them to put in Tahiti road course because it was the ultimate beginner track where you could test how the game felt...then we have Pikes Peak:the Escudo is useless in GT3..put in the track or ditch the car man! then Autumn Ring is an pleasent surprise if that one was in....I have off course forgotten many good tracks but Im to tired of counting every one of them...now for the realisticc tracks..absolutly Spa Francorchamps! an amazing track with soooo beutiful scenery:eek: then we have Circuit de La Sarthe (Le Mans) classic...but Im very skeptic to this one as it is dead boring driving with only six cars on this track...and indeed more european tracks like Donington,Monza,Anderstorp,Norisring,Brands Hatch,Bracelona,Enna Pergusa,Brno....now for the west world tracks...Sebring,Vancouver,Miami,Road Atlanta,Mosport, uhm that Brazilian track that is in the F1 schelude...very embarrasing that I cant remember the name of it:(
now for the aussie tracks...MORE TRACKS FROM THIS COUNTRY..sorry but really more tracks from this land..Barthurst,Surfers Paradise,Adelaide and such..now asian or more likley japanese tracks..all the ones in the JGTC season!

thats my word people

hard choice there.

my vote would go for Rome Night.
one of the few tracks were all driving elements were included:
- elevation changes
- fast sweepers
- hairpins
- blind corners
- good combinations of all elements mentioned above
- track knowledge was everything (as on every other track;))
i strongly hope we will have it back in GT 4

forgot about Rome Night from GT2... sick track, would love to see it as a raceable track and not just as a license test! :trouble:

How about old versions of current tracks?

A. A KPGC10 Hakuska Skyline GTR on the old FUJI track (the one with the big banked "parabolica" curve), against classic Mazdas and Datsuns.
B. A Gulf GT40 on Le Mans´Le Sarthe circuit (with the long Mulsanne straight w/o any chicanes). I´ve seen footage of a Porsche 962 do 240mph down that long straight. That is what I call a long top end!!
C. An Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA on the old Monza circuit with the banked curve.

Those tracks would really add vintage flavour to classic car races.

Of course , it would be great to have many more oponent cars on track, but I guess we will have to wait until GT5 on PS3 for that.

HMM.... i think the track i like/ love has to be trial mountain because of its long straight the last 2 curves before a jump near the finish line. Great for those close races.

and also Midfield Raceway, because some cars like the Sprinter Trueno GT Apex S.S Version do good because of the grass.

my best time on midfield with the 86 was about 1'16".

I think to ask an alternative question, mine would be:

1.) What's your favorite ever GT Track?
2.) What track are you most looking forward to race in...
...a.) ...tarmac race?
...b.) ...rally race?

And now to answer.

1.) Tokyo R246, to me, seems like a very well-balanced course. It isn't too complicated, but when driven with a fast car, it will really test your reflexes on the track. And it's very fitting because Tokyo is my favorite city in the world.

2a.) I'm a city guy. New York would be a good speedy track, Hong Kong looks like the next R246. Often times, I've said that Hong Kong is like the New York of the Far East. And in so, I've seen it in modern kung-fu movies and played the demo to "Rise of Honor." Only thing now is, being able to race the city streets in my little hotrods.

2b.) Grand Canyon seems like a tough course. If I can get around the fact that I can't accidentally overshoot a corner and fly off to my death, I'll know that the Grand Canyon course is a new direction in which GT rallies are done. For some, it's about time. For some others, it's a new challenge.

There you have it, from Houston's own John M. See ya!

I'd want to see full races on complex string. Theres a course which realy does have it all as far as driving is concerned. I also want some more scenic tracks based in forests countrysides citys etc. My favorite track on GT of all time would be Rome night but THE greatest track ever is the on from the original Ridge Racer. It's got a good tunnel a beautiful bridge and waterfall a beachside section a jump before entering anothe tunnel and some good looking overhead roads passing over the track. OK so itll newver be in a GT game but i can always dream.

Nice idea, but I think the nord will cover most of that. Plus it will be longer, and the area will be much more interesting than that dull, grey look. Beautiful place, that nord.

I agree that complex string area is REALLLY DULL:indiff: and can't wait to race on the ring. Still want Ridge Racer style tracks tho:D

You never know though, now that they've gotten the Nordschleife in safely, perhaps they'll do a bit to make Complex String look a lot more appealing.

My only problem is, okay, check it. I'd rather have the String as a test course, not a race track. Then too, the Test Course should be a Test Course, not a race track. And when it comes to ovals, that's why you got Super Speedway, based on Twin Ring Motegi (the oval course). So Complex String as a race track? Hell no. It's too tight and too slow. If I wanted such a track, I'd rather race SSR11 or maybe even Monaco. So I say "nay" to Complex String as a race track. Oh, the laps are also long there. So I'll have to go with my boy Eagle on this one. The Nurburgring long course would be a better alternative.
