Bathurst is NOT confirmed as a track in GT4, you're correct DiabolicalMask.
 
The usuals for me are Le Man and the Nurburgring. But I'd also love to race around Brand Hatch (full circuit). It's a great circuit with the hairpin at Druids, the mind blowing Dingle Dell and the super fast Clark curve, just before the start finish straight.
What a course.

I'm down with what you're saying John... besides the String is not a realistic track... what real race track has 55 chicanes or whatever the string has, or "let's put in every type of corner imaginable" into a course. The ring kicks, b/c it is real and takes into consideration the spirit of racing, yes lots of turns, but interesting and built for proper uses of speed and braking.

As for the "Test Course" ya scrap it as a race track... there's easily a billion banked ovals of appropriate length in the US the CRAPCAR, i mean NASCAR uses that PD could recreate. Ah the brilliance of making a left turn for 2 hours :trouble:
 
Interlagos - Brazil, nice track.
you know the brazilian pilot called Ayrton Senna?
He was the best pilot in this track.
 
Some of the real world circuits I'd like to see: Imola, Elkhart Lake, Road America, Spa-Francorchamps, Bahrain, Cleveland Airport Racetrack, Jerez, Monza, Long Beach, "that Australian V8 Supercars circuit with hills that goes through a forest" :)

I could go on and on...

i wonder why nobody ever thinks of the phillip island circuit, going down the main straight at 300 kmh and at the end you look straight into the southern ocean - that´d be a blast !!!
also road america or some other alms tracks.....sweeeet

I love that photo!! It looks as one of those airport runways that end up over the sea. Where is this circuit located? Very good indeed!!

It's on an island called Philip Island south of Victoria, Australia. It hosts a number of races from V8 supercars to a World Motorbike Championship round I believe.

I don't want to see it in though because I believe there are a lot better circuits in the world that deserve to be in before Philip Island.
 
Believe it or not, I think the bigtime advantage for GT4 tracks will most likely be for Europe. I am curious as to how Paris will turn out, then Citta di Aria, a ride through Amalfi would be nice, and of course the Nurburgring Nords will be in. I got nothing against America or Japan, but Europe seems to be better represented in this GT. And I hope as many circuits as possible will be put into the game to fulfill the 50 or 100 tracks to be mentioned. And keep in mind that Autocross (some call it AutoX. I hate that because I don't shorten "cross" by using an "X") tracks will be in the game, not to mention drifting courses. And let's not overlook rally either. This may sound off-topic, but we may have some new favorite tracks upon GT4's release.

All I know is that for a rally, some snow would be nice for a change. Who knows? Maybe we can have small streams to kick up water like in the Argentina Rally. If a sort of Safari Rally is implemented, I think it would be politically correct not to have animals wander around the course. Speaking of Africa, if 6 contintents will be represented, Africa has Kyliami, Pharkisa, and... I want to say "that circuit in Welcom (pronounced "Vel-come"), South Africa, but I fear I may get that wrong. Anyhow, by the way, That Phillip Island view is pretty cool.

If I get any more ideas for scenic race tracks, I'll post in the future.
 
I think Europe has some of the most remarkable circuits in the world so I'm happy to see the expanded European influence, plus it'll probably mean improved market penetration too.

I agree that the European market is being better catered for now and looking at the vids in Prologue you get to see more Euro & UK cars as well so I'm more than happy...

Although one thing I would like to see is an MP/H gauge not a KM/H gauge!! Or at least the option to choose between the two?!

I want to see an updated version of Seattle as the track from GT3 is no longer possible as the Seahawks Stadium Convetion Center is on the site of one of the old Kingdome parking lots. You know, where those 3 90 degree turns are between the two stadiums.

I don't understand the lure of MPH anyway, your car looks slower. I watch movies where doing 100MPH is mean to be impressive and that's well below legal limits in KPH, and I'm betting a lot of people aren't bright enough to convert, so they're gonna go "What? 100KMH? I drive faster than that". Then they'll do so and kill themselves. Anyway. No on Imperial, stop being backwards.
 
I've said it before I'll say it again Polyphony please please please pleeeeeeeease can we have Red Rock back and High speed ring too. On the tracks in GT4P I thought I would hate Fuji but I love it though you can cheat in arcade mode by missing the last chicane:trouble: , what about tracks we dont want:p ?
I think Driving Park from GT4P license tests would be cool too kind of like a mini superspeedway


OK you may disagree here but I hate Grand Canyon (boring and graphicly I'm not impressed) also I wouldnt shed a tear if Seattle wasnt in GT4 as well I quite liked the short circuit in GT2 tho.

Eagle it's roughly 1.6kph to 1 mph so if you're doing any speed in mph, it's a higher # in kph (200mph is about 320kph). Beauty of living in Canada, we know both the antiquated (imperial) and logical (metric) systems.
 
We Only want MPH because its what we know.
KPH is the norm in most of europe, but good old MPH rules in the UK.
So Please Please PD let us have a switch so we can have MPH!

PS. Eagle My Transit Van does a 100+ (not that i ever go that fast in it obviously Officer), and it fees like your really going some, yet in the wifes ST220 it feels sedate.
 
Speed is often relational to the road and the car. 100 in narrow streets or a tight country road is a lot more exhilirating than 100 on an autobahn.

However, I wasn't referring to the autobahn, you all misunderstood me. I'm well aware of the conversion rates, before Formula 1 switched to metric I had to learn how to convert MPH to KPH in my head, and I can do it reasonably accurately and quickly now.

What I meant was, some people aren't aware of the difference between KPH and MPH. So for example, here we use KPH. The highest speed limit is 110KPH. So when you see someone in a movie whose speedo is about to hit 100, it doesn't look that impressive, because people assume it's in KPH, what they're used to. They don't know if it's MPH and a lot probably don't know what MPH is. So the car will really be doing just over 160KMH but they'll think it's only 100KMH. That's what I was getting at.

in australia´s northern territory theres actually no speedlimit in certain areas. i have to say though going 170 kph and then having a bunsch of cows crossing the road was very, very exiting........
 
Nurburgring looks delicious. Can't wait to see how sadistic it will be.

Pikes Peak!!! BRING IT BACK!!! In my opinion, most hardcore track in the Gran Turismo series.

Also, I like watching the Top Gear series so it would be cool to include the track they use in that TV show (i think its a figure 8 shaped course) that they use to compare all the cars. I mean they already have all the times of all these sweet cars and it would be cool to see how I would match up to "the Stig"

Umm, 100 on the autobahn is VERY, VERY dangerous. Most people are going 200-300, and it probably is very exiting.

edit: what i meant was that 100 is too slow, and somebody would probably rear-end you and send you into traficc, and then you would probably crash and die. also exiting. :D
 
Stupid pics make me lust after der Ring. I wouldn't mind seeing Road America or Road Atlanta. The Bahrain GP circuit would be nice as well.

Only this time make it longer, make it as long as it is in real life, they have managed the ring so the full lenth Pikes peak has to be possible.
