I choose one track in every game to test my cars on so I can make a quick apples to apples comparison. That way I can set a base time and know right away if a cars any good or not. I'm using Apricot Hill this time around. A 1:30 or less equals a pretty good starting point for regular cars. Any slower than that and I move on to something else.

Not too sure yet. It was Tsukuba for me in GT5, it might be that again or Ascari, or something else.

Usually I make a track in course maker to use as my test track. But if I were to pick an existing track as my "home", it would definitely be the Sarthe Circuit - Not necessarily a 'test' track for cars other than LMP's, but still home of my favorite race.

I created my own in GT5, full of S bends with elevation changes and very mixed overall characteristics. So far I've been homeless in GT6, but I guess Rotenboden might be the one (if we can't import GT5 course maker tracks in the future)

Really liking Matterhorn Dristelen, it's my favorite. 2nd goes to Brands Hatch Indy and 3rd goes to Big Willow

Right I am running bathhurst but I have a feeling I will use Brands hatch Indy circuit a lot when tuning some of my cars

Laguna Seca for me. A short track with a lot of different types of corners. I know it well and can get some consistent times there in relatively short order with most any car.

Using the south end of Cape Ring isn't bad either. I may try some Willow Springs at some point down the line.

Suzuka GP Circuit

If you can get a car tuned to be quick around there it will be good at any circuit! 👍

It has a great mix of technical corners of varying speeds that really put a setup through its paces. Not to mention very limited runoff areas (unlike Silverstone GP which would be my second choice) so it requires consistency from the driver to be fast there and as such makes for a good practice venue to hone your skills.

On a personal note, I love Bathurst (being Australian :D) but it doesn't lend itself to being an ideal testing circuit.

Mine is Bathurst. It is a great track to test cars because of all the elevation changes and tight corners. You can tell what a cars strengths and weaknesses are very quickly. I also frequently use Nurburgring to test cars.

Has been Tsukuba since GT5. From time attacks to drifting, I've always tested my cars there. Although, I also had a custom track for drifting in GT5.

Laguna Seca in GT5... Still is on GT6 however Ascari Race Resort is kind of getting to me as well..

But who am I kidding, the Nurburgring is my favourite place to drive an automobile.

I like idea behind this thread. I will always call the Nurburgring the home of where my cars are tested. Since GT4 👍. The reason is it has things that I hate driving on and lots of different types of road types. like large bumps and off camber turns etc...

Nearest track: Daytona International Speedway
Favorite place to test and race: Nurburgring Nordschleife
Best place to go for a free run: Mount Panorama Circuit

I've really been doing a lot of testing at Ascari lately, its a brilliant track! I usually use Tsukuba and Mt Panorama a lot too

It used to be Mt. Aso for suspension settings so the car wouldn't be too stiff and it would be able to turn faster. Also it's fun with some jumps in between. I got a lucky course variation with 6 jumps with one only being in a medium-speed section, the rest all in flat straights on the final straight and the opposite direction higher up the hill. It even has one sharp corner but just for safety I put a high banking setting for it. Pretty much Course Maker for me.

Now in GT6 with a future update looming, I'm using Eiger Norwand Short Track to test.

Suzuka full circuit and nurburgring 24hr circuit.

Mainly Suzuka because one lap of a 15 mile track is a bit much.

For an original circuit, it's grand valley east. But I do like trial mountain a lot as well.
