I use always #27 ... the legendary Formula One number.

Used by Gilles Villeneuve and Ayrton Senna da Silva.
Also Mario Andretti, Michele Alboreto, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost and a few other F1 drivers used #27.
The last time #27 was used in Formula 1 was in 1995 by Jean Alesi.

42, because of Jackie Robinson (and I guess Mariano Rivera). I occasionally use other numbers that athletes have used...

41 - Dirk Nowitzki
32 - Shaquille O'Neal
23 - Micheal Jordan
24 - Kobe Bryant, Jeff Gordon
43 - Richard Petty
3 - Dale Earnhardt Sr.
8 - Dale Earnhardt Jr., Troy Aikman
22 - Emmit Smith

Also use:
94 - birth year
11 - year my Mavericks were NBA champions
U must be from TEXAS like me!

Maybe we'll see 27 back in F1 now that they're talking about permanent numbers. With out luck Grosjean will get it lol

EDIT: Or Maldonado! Ni quiera Dios.

Lol no I wished. Just always liked that number.

I usually switch between #13, #89 or #99 depending which car I feel like driving. Also, all of my #13 cars are painted Black as well as a nod to the "Devil/Demon Car" from various Ridge Racer games (Which was a series that I LOVED back in the day before the Gran Turismo bug fully bit me with GT2).

I had about 80 karts on GT5 (about 16 different colors for each model), hoping to repeat it on GT6, and here's how it worked:

My white karts are #19, for Ayrton's Toleman-Hart;
My black, yellow and red karts are #12 for Ayrton's Lotus-Renault, Lotus-Honda and McLaren-Honda;
Some of my other red karts are #27 for Ayrton's McLaren-Honda, and some are #1 for the same reason;
Blue karts are #2 for Ayrton's Williams-Renault;
And then, most of my remaining karts and practically all of my numbered cars are #8, in homage to Ayrton Senna, and in tribute to his shows at Brazil, Donington Park (the most amazing first lap in history), Monaco, Japan and Australia, all in 1993.

Sometimes I use #5 on blue karts to homage Nigel Mansell.

7 is my favorite number and my day of birth. In GT5 and GT 6 I use 77 in fonts # 3. because I like to double it. But some times I get lazy and use just 7
I`m posting this on page 7.. Well, lucky me :P

#40

when I started to play NASCAR Racing 2003 about 5-6 years ago,I wanted a number that was currently unused. so I took the number of my favorite Hendricks drivers (88/48) subtracted and voila number 40.

I like 55, the 787B, one of my favorite racecars bears this number. I also like this number for some reason, to me it represents neutrality.

Announcer: Final lap at Mount Panorama and look the ninety nine car just took the lead coming down the Mountain! And the crowd goes wild!!!

Just like the look and the sound of it!

"The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror (37) is the 12th and its mirror (21) is the product of multiplying 7 and 3. ... In binary, 73 is a palindrome, 1001001 which backwards is 1001001."

I run #4 which is my favorite number, on all my lead race cars. Though, The Stealth cars have their own numbering system. #1= diecast adaptation eg. GTR GT500 Stealth, McLaren F1 Stealth, Mazda 787B Stealth
#4 (signature)= new ingame Stealth eg. NSX GT500 Stealth, SLS AMG Stealth, R10 TDI stealth

I use the #13 because I was born on Tuesday 13 (bad luck day in Spanish culture, I know that in other countries is Friday the 13th ) and also the #97 (year I was born)

Been watching The Big Bang Theory a few times too many? ;)

My car number varies for each car, but my main numbers are 34 (Rule 34), 74 (Daijiro Kato), and 98 (personal stuff). :)
