I've got an ancient Logitech Wingman Formula GP, but I can't get it to connect to GT5, Can anyone help, is it even compatible with PS3? Please move if i've put this in the wrong forum. Thanks for your help!

my guess is that if it's not working in GT5 it's because it's not compatible with PS3. I had the same problem with my previous wheel, then I got the Logitech Driving Force GT

You can try to download some of the free demos of other driving games in PSN store and see if the wheel would work with them. Might be it's not compatible with PS3 to begin with.

Going to go with my ancient DFP until it dies and then buy the G27. (Or what ever will be the equivalent model at the time. Damn this wheel is robust...). :p

I've played with the G27 on some other games and the Driving Force GT is a better wheel in my opinion. Lucky for me because I was actually thinking of buying the G27 before I bought mine and the G27 costs almost twice as much, in my opinion nowhere near worth the extra money

It's the pedals. I'm getting annoyed by the old flimsy pedals that are same on DFP and DFGT. G27 pedals aren't the best around but they surely win the DFP and DFGT versions. :)

I've got it connected with the ps3, and i can move around menus and things like that, but when i go into the game, it just dies.

100% no. The upgrade in pedals alone is worth the money. I picked mine up for $200 plus $35 for NIXIM brake mod. Way, way better than the crap piece of plastic you get with DFGT. Having real paddles is a huge plus also, especially when shifting in tight turns. I tired using my brother DFGT after months of using the G27 and it was a horrible experience, like pressing air when braking.

granted, I haven't used the G27 that much so it might be different story if I had more experience with both. But also you got the G27 for a bargain, if I could get one at that price I'd probably buy one as well. It's a bit more expensive here

Thanks McKiernan for replying to my question was just wondering because I have a Logitech MOMO Racing Wheel and a DFGT Wheel also, and the pedals will interchange with both them. And since all thee are made by Logitech was just curious.
