Silly question. Have I missed a 270 degree setting in the options. I use a g27 btw.

I've got a shoulder handicap so running at ff3 does me. Jump in a kart or the FGT and the FF rises considerably though.

Damage effects are ramped up too. Would be nice to set these individually.

The DFP has preset button combos that allow different rotation ranges. It was common to set the steering to 900° in GT3, but it was too low res.

The latest wheels all do this via drivers (or over the USB, basically) and can have a wider range of settings. On consoles, though, the game has to support it. Unless I've missed something! :D

/\/\/\ What he said!! I hooked it up to my pc and it automatically went to 270 and have no idea how to change to that on ps3. I love things with zero instructions!

sorry to be slightly off topic guys but I just got a DFGT today and have plugged it into the PS3. The buttons on the wheel work fine, I can trawl thru menus using the wheel but when I go to the time trials to test the wheel for the first time, the steering isnt responding to the wheel movements at all. Do I need to change something in settings to get it to work?

Make sure all the plugs are plugged all the way in, I've heard problems similar to this caused by loose connections.

Anyone know how to go 270* with the DFGT?

I don't know if it will work for your wheel, but on my Driving force pro I press the following buttons all at the same time "select+r3+right shift paddle".
If done right the wheel will rotate left and right return to center with the left green light on

Dumb question, but is simulation the most real or is Professional? I assumed Professional was since it was on the bottom of the list; as in:

easy: Amateur
med: Simulation
hard: Professional

whatever you do, don´t run FFB on 10 when rally/ing with the g27 :P

it will rattle its ass off!

oh derd god i thought my g27 would be perfect for gt5 but tbh its about the worst wheel you could have with the lack of support, i run 1 FFB and in the x1 or rallying its still too much......try 10 FFB in the x1 challenge, you will never need to go to the gym ever again after 20 mins on that:tup:

Silly question here, but my driving force pro only does 180 degrees or 900 degrees. Are you sure you get a full 270 degrees from lock to lock?

Also, when I run it in this mode, the steering returns to the analog stick style where it is no longer linear or proportional. If I turn full lock left, it takes time for the car's steering rack to catch up.

900 degress is just too much for me when racing some of the faster cars on tight circuits. Do I just need to practice more or have I got some settings for the wheel wrong?

Steering Type (not applicable): Simulation
PAS: Off
Feedback Strength: 10

Thanks.
