Yes thats very obvious but sense you seem to know so much about the whole GT and racing wheel essentials maybe you can answer my simple questions. Out of the 2 steering wheels used for GT5P which one do you think has the most realistic pedal feel. Or which one do you use? And does the throttle and brake feel/function more realistic than the Logitech wheel for GT5?

soprano,i whas commenting on the question: sixaxis or use -wheel !:sly:

i use an worn out dfp and waiting for the new dfgt wheel!:)
i am sure when gt5 comes out there will be a better vesion of the g25 coming out too.....i like the g25 wheel but dislike the h-shift cause it is too "plastic" and without any feel/resistance......its too "CLIK CLAK" for me as i drive manual cars for more than 20 years now!!..........but im suffering now with a dfp that looses ffb in corners suddenly and the right gearshifter paddle is broken ,etc,etc.........so when i copmair my times on the boards here ans there,i cant wait for the new dfgt wheel!!!:)

for all sakes i tried the sixaxis....you got to be kidding me!!:ouch:

I own a G25, bought myself a 22'' wide lcd with DVI-D interface, so I can use both computer and PS3 on same screen, cause I have a G25 and play both GT5 and LFS (PS3 vs PC).

Its worth it... the only thing I didn't like is that, when you are using H shifting the car doesn't have idle, it sticks to 0 RPM, but it doesn't turn off... its strange and kinda buggy, but ITR DC5 + H Shifting + FujiSpeedway = Heaven :D

the pedals on the g25 are plenty big enough. i wear a size twelve and they are fine for me. they are not made of plastic either. they're polished metal and each pedal has it's own feel to it. they feel pretty close to the real thing.

Very interesting. It seems even more apealing to me now that youve mentioned the different pedal-different feel situation.

Yeah im plan on building a cockpit just for GT5 with a Corbeau seat. I just dont know what wheel and pedal set to go with yet.

@soprano...bought me a new playseat lately with a covering of alcantara!!...nice!!!
well if you plan to build a cockpit you should maybe chackout the other forems available on this site.........check it.
spyrrari.

I suppose it depends on your budget. DFP is cheaper, (around £70), while G25 is probably the most luxurious wheel you can get (£150). If i had the money, i would go for G25!

dont forget the new dfgt wheel wich comes out in may!!:)

If budget allows, IMO, a steering wheel will enhance the gaming experience and you do not have to get the most expensive one to have a much better experience than using a controller. What you can or cannot afford should only be determine by yourself.

This is slightly OT.

I have a DFP and I wish that Polyphony would allow us to use two controllers at the same time I E my BRD 7 pedals and my DFP at the same time.

Yea ive gotten some ideas from the other builds members have shown. There were some pretty sick designs there.

I'm a student. I don't see how people don't have money.

I'm sorry. but i gotta comment on this as well, you just don't know other's financial situations. Maybe you are unaware of the amount of work it takes for some people to go to school, and the little amount of money they have to begin with. Luckily i have a cousin who was very generous with his old ps3. :sly:

Anyways, like Rocket Punch said i believe, if you have the money, go with the wheel. Your inputs are just so much more precise, and the feel is just awesome. After buying my DFP from best buy for $130, i found a couple at Game stop for about $90, and they were even wheels with the GT emblem on the wheel :ouch:. Also, after playing with the wheel since about christmas, I can not get the hang of the controller anymore, simply put, i suck with a controller.

Getting a G25 is my main priority at the minute. But purchasing one will mean I'll need to get a cockpit to mount it on (and I don't have the time or patience to do a DIY) which means another $1000+. I've already sucked about 9k out of my parents the past month alone. :nervous:

9k? as in £9,000? (or 9,000 aussie dollars)
