Whats the story with wheelspin in this game. Lewis hamilton can wheelspin his f1 with super softs on so why can't I? Lots of the cars seem to struggle when you put better tyres on. For example, in real life could you not always pull a massive wheelspin in a zonda r or a corvette zr1- no matter what tyres?

Like I said, does anyone know why it's like this.

Are you using any assist? TC and Skid Recovery Force will prevent your car to do wheelspins. Anyway, I can do them in a F1 even with racing soft, just press the brake and throttle together, then release brake and turn right or left ;)

Yeah with no assits. What you are describing sounds like you're just making the car spin round easily - try making it wheelspin when you pull away. I've tried it with enough cars to think that it gives varying levels of realism.

yeah hamilton can spin a f1 car because it has 700bhp, 570kg, and no downforce (from a stand still), but a f1 car has no aids.

so just do it with no aids, make sure its got enough power and torque :)

I turn the aids off. You can easily wheelspin low powered cars in real life. I don't see your point.

you can always spin wheels in high power cars and you would always get wheelspin in hyoer cars if you just booted it. TV shows etc generally use throttle control because they want to go somewhere :P

Yes you can. I don't think its too well replicated in the game.

yeah i know, but you've tried a civic with supersoft racing tyres on?? :scared:

Obviously your experience of the game is different than mine. I am going to make the effort to remember the models and tyre types next time I play. So I can show you how ridiculous it is. Because I'm sure it's not right.

Bear Ziffa - Do you have a wheel with a clutch pedal? Are you reving it, then dumping the clutch? Or, do you just have a controller and are pressing the X button?

I have a driving force pro. Don't get me wrong - a lot of the cars seem to wheelspin fine. But I'm sure there has been a few times where I've thought 'come on - that should easily put a bit of spin on the wheels.' It's annoying me now so I'm gonna take more note of when it happens again. Just my experience - I'm not claiming to be right. :)

It's my opinion - not fact. Because I might believe it to be true does not mean it is. Thought I'd made that clear.

I think I read somewhere that Real Racing Softs in F1 are represented by Racing Hards in GT5.
