How is it possible to secure the DFGT to the RWS ?

Any suggestions beside the clamp theory.

Thx.

You use the hard mounting holes in the back and the clamp in the front, assuming it mounts like the G27...

Have to agree. I don't know quite how it has happened but I have my V1 stand at an angle other than 90 degrees and find it a big advantage for me in terms of seating position, comfort etc. I thought it was feature of the stand, clearly this was not the case! I received my stand about a year ago.

+1 got mine but got min in Dec 2009!!

With either of these stands, is it possible to use them while on a laz e boy lifter chair? I have a chair that can move all the way up (to pretty much standing position) and all the way back to recline (lying down). It's the only thing in my man room, right in the middle of my surround sound setup and right in front of my LCD.

I'm just wondering if I'll be able to find a comfortable position with a WSP or Rennsport wheel stand with the chair at the regular sitting position or even lifted up a bit.

I've found a video I linked on youtube, I embedded the time so you don't have to view the whole video, just the specific part showing the chair rising.

The only downside is I don't want to have the shifter connected directly to the wheel, but sitting in this chair it may not be possible

I'm a satisfied WSP user for a few years now. And the WSP is still as rock solid as the first day I've used it. Time between buying and delivery was short. A few days at the most.
Used it with a G25 for GT5p and now upgraded to Fanatec GT3 RS v2 for GT5.
WSP needed some handywork so that the GT3 wheel coukd be fitted as sturdy as the G25 was. But managed that and I'm happy as could be.
Only downside to the WSP is the shorter rod where the wheel is mounted. Have to put the office chair I use in the most lowest position to get the position right for driving. If WSP could deliver a longer rod , say a XXL version , it would make the WSP even better in my humble opinion.
I'm just a casual sim racer. So the WSP fits my needs perfectly .

The Rennsport looks like it would do a great job either though.
I maybe want to buy another wheelstand for the G25, which still is a good wheel.

I don't like the side to side movement that happens with the WSP so I went with the Rennsport Wheelstand and was very happy with it.

To all Wheel Stand owners!

I am doing a litle research and like to find out why you decided to buy a WSP instead of the Fanatec RSWS or the other way round.

It does not matter if you tested both products. At the moment i would just be interested to find out your motivitation to buy either one of those.

So why did you purchase your WSP?

Or why did you purchase your RSWS?

This will help us to improve our product and service and will help others to make a buying decision. You can mention any argument like:
  • price
  • service
  • product design
  • product construction (adjustability, sturdiness ec)
  • user recommendations
  • test reviews
  • compatibility to this or that wheel
  • etc etc

Price: WSP
Service: WSP
I had them both for long time. Firstly I bought Rennsport and after a while I was forced to buy new stand!! cos it started to make some noise! I would say that steel connections were not first standard, it rubed against each other!

I sent an emial but never got any reply. I checked websites and reviews and went for WSP, their facebook page was helpful as I read their customers opinions. Their customer service is absolutely number one.

Product design: WSP
That bueaty looks like handmade!! I was really surprised as I opened the box and took it to my hands. This is pure craft.

Product construction (adjustability, sturdiness ec): WSP again
The most important thing in terms of function, WSP has more options, it has compression clamps rather than knobs (RWS) and steel is of much better quality. I have it for 2 years now and is ROCK SOLID!

User recommendations:
Hmm... for RWS that would be - get rid of knobs and use better quality of steel as it made strange noise after using it for longer (steel just rubed against each other) in not a funcional way. For WSP that would be their FAQ website as it would be helpful, they have none.

Test revievs:
I searched through lot of youtube videos and find many reviews of RWS and WSP, customers seemed to be more pleased of WSP.

Time:
I read that lots of drivers had waited long for their RWS stands, I was ok to wait, but WSP was shipped to me at the same day as I ordered it!

MOTIVATION: WSP is simply better stand in terms of quality of material used and stability.
GENERAL OPINION: Long live WSP!! :)

Does anybody need a set of clubsport pedal mounts for the wheel stand pro? UK only. I ordered them but then cancelled my Fanatec order so have 21 euros worth of pedal that I can sell on for £15 to anyone in the UK that needs them.

Couldn't agree anymore... I have both. WSP much much better than RWS v2.

Both are the same in terms of stability. But the WSP design and function way better than RWS.

WSP main pole can be adjusted in any angle but RWS v2 can only be in 90 or 110 degree.
WSP uses clamps which is much better than RWS's knob. I always had hard time to secure the RWS pole because the knob is so hard to twist in to that tiny 90/110 degree hole and hurts my hand every time.

You do have both?
I would love some feedback.
Especially, HOW much do they differ in stability?

Most people I read about here say that the RS is more stable.
Hmmmm

MuRRe I can't comment on the RennSport but I can assure you that the WSP is rock solid mate.

I didn't know the Rennsport could only achieve 90 and 110 degrees either.

WSP is almost unlimited in adjustment compared to that.

Go with WSP mate you won't regret it.
I got two lol.

Yeah, I'm gonna try to see if I can find someone who wanna buy the 911 Carrera this week.
If not, I will have to decide in the weekend.
As I said I can buy the RS locally (20 km away)

Hmmmm

Most people base on the review made by ISR. They were comparing WSP G25 which is smaller in size than RS. I have both RS and G27 deluxe (well RS has broke down after a short usage) . Both are the same size but WSP is a lot more practical and designed better.

WSP sent out my stand the other day that I have sent my order... I had it in my living room within three days or so since plaing an order :)

I'm 6'6" so height is important for me.

WSP can be adjusted 18"-28"
RWS can be adjusted 23"-32.7"

Bought the RWS due to the extra 5 inches in height

For all the tall racers out there, I am 6'7" and use a Rennsport Wheel Stand. It works like a dream for me and is very stable.

I have an Obutto Ozone being delivered to me at the moment though, and Im looking to get rid of my RWS if anyone wants to buy it. It has about a month of use on it, still looks great, just a few scratches near the pedal stop (they get covered by the pedals anyway) from all the times i had to adjust it for my short roommate. Just shoot me an email at inukage0029@gmail.com

My $.02 on the wheelstand pro...
Just arrived yesterday.
Ordered one because the stand I built is super heavy and not easy to make go away when I'm done using it.
Made it out of 4x8 lumber. Solid as a rock for gameplay. Love how it feels.
Wheelstand pro is also VERY well built and certainly a lot more attractive than my DIY.
the stability on left-to-right movement is great. Not perfect, but not an issue. FF 10 its a bit more bothersome, but tolerable.
My biggest beef is the front-to-back movement.
Its quite distracting. Its something that ill have to get used to.
Maybe with enough time on it it will become less annoying

I have no front to back movement with WSP, but the bar also rests against the front of my couch. How much movement do you get? Is it set at an extreme angle?

I got them tight. Its the natural flex in the upright bar that I'm talking about.

Mine is set quite low so maybe that is why I don't get any.

has anyone made or tried this stand?

I personally don't like a post between my legs.

I have to say my Rennsport V2 stand is amazing. Loving the portability and stability of it. Moving it from Man Room TV for console game to pc gaming room is simple and quick even with all the gear on it.

Works on a lazyboy and office chair fantastic. Couldn't be happier with purchase.

just tighten the bolt on the vertical clamp. That should eliminate the front-to-back movement. I can extend mine up very high now after increasing the tension around the base of the stand and I don't get any movement whatsoever. Only way you should ever get movement like that is if you raise it up so high only the very bottom of the metal rod is left within the clamp which is an insane amount of height anyway (would be very impractical for normal use)

--- ah I see you're moving the whole bar back-and-forth. My T500RS Deluxe is a little heavier than the other models plus I use mine fairly low
